And we get to see the rifts between the Cylons more too. All that "we agree - we agree - we agree, most of us" stuff. Heh. Cavil is . . . well, the worst of the lot, really, isn't he?I was wondering about hiding as a possibility. And Cavil supposedly doesn't believe in god(s), right? Hmmm...does his lack/loss of faith make him more ruthless and evil? Wait...that can't be right. *backs away slowly from amateur analyzing* I thought he was the one saying that more fear was the way to make the humans come around to the cylon "one God" way? Of course, he could have been being sarcastic.

Well. That was interesting. Define interesting. Oh wait--I think I can do that myself: "Oh God, oh God, they're all gonna die?" Sara wins. ;D

Okay, I can't exactly say why . . . I mean, I can't think of an exact example or scene to support this vague feeling but, this episode seemed kind of sort of bleak to me. And I loved every single bleaky minute of it. This show owns me. Bleak? Huh. I don't get that. I mean, what about the musical number - and the bit with the clowns and juggling seals? Damn. I was watching the wrong channel again.

Well, at least they know about the Sharon ahead of time.. Ellen.. is she there to betray them or to warn them? Oh crap. Good and tempting for her isn't it? Crap. SHIT. Oh, Ellen.... don't do it.... Gaeta is pissed... Yeah, there was. You could have died in their place. Crap. Jackbooted thugs with balaclavas. Hi, Tom! And there are the raptors. Well, at least Ellen and the Cylons don't know about the Sharon (what is she, an Eight?) model as the liason. Sharon, even if they know who to expect you are still a little gun-magnetty, and all. Is Gaeta running off to save Cally? Kara bonded with Kacey already. And yep, she survives.
Oh lord, Kara... you're halfway lost, sweetie... "rest break" yeah. The nazis used that one, too. "Last year, you tried to steal the election, huh?" Heh. "I wish you'd gone through with it" and Jammer saves Cally, one out of two hundred. Well, there goes the president, Zarek, and the rest, unless they is real good at playing dead. Damn. Whole WEEK!!!!!!! AGH!!! Why can't they just show them all one day, on a national holiday, or something? Actually, here's my theory: Kara is using what happened as an opportunity to play Leoben. After all, since she's killed the guy five times it's unlikely he'd buy it if she suddenly had a change of heart and tried to play nice. But if Kara seems to be slowly submitting to the maternal instinct, not to mention warming to the father of her child, then he might begin to trust her. And once that happens, her chances of escaping improve considerably.

Either way, I really don't like his cylon model. That is one bad mofo among a sea of bad mofos. And I still find Leoben (or possibly *hopefully* it's the actor) sexy, which scares the bejeezus out of me because he is one sick cylon bastard, and I should not find something who could do what he's done and is still doing sexy in any way..

Plus, it's hard to know if they're telling the truth to each other when they say what they say, too. Not to mention the snark. Dude! Eeeep! ;D That's OK, I mean look at what Six has done and she's one smokin' babe, there's no doubt.

Or I could be full of crap and she'll dash little Kacey's cybrid head against a rock the second she gets away, but I don't think she will.

Bleak? Huh. I don't get that. I mean, what about the musical number - and the bit with the clowns and juggling seals? Was that the one before or after the water-balet piece? Oh, just after. It was part of the scene on the zeppelin - when they were joking about making a giant balloon animal. But I think I liked the bit at the end the best, when they all were dressed in lime green unitards and had the cupcake fight. Comedy gold, I tell ya!

Well, I wasn't thinking she'd do something like that, no matter how much she despises toasters. And she could very well be feeling a maternal twinge or two; it'd be hard not to, especially seeing the girl in a hospital bed like that. But I suspect that Kara's softening toward the end of the episode was almost entirely about getting Leoben to start letting his guard down. If it was, though, she'll have to be careful--she'll need to make it seem like she's resisting the tug of being a mom to Kacey, yet also appear to be unknowingly succumbing to it. What'll help, though, is how much Leoben wants to believe they'll be a family. And Kara's more than smart enough to take advantage of it.

Oh, and a little trivia note: Grace Park and Dominic Zamprogna, who plays our loyalty-torn policeman Jammer, were costars on the Canadian t.v. series Edgemont back in their teenage years. I only know this because I was bored and surfing channels one Saturday morning, stopped to see what this Edgemont program I kept seeing was all about, and almost fell off the couch when Boomer showed up on the screen a few minutes later. As a young woman confused about her identity, no less. Kristen Kreuk, who plays Lana on Smallville, was in this particular episode as well--as Jammer's girlfriend. No, really. She and Grace had a scene together in which Kristen's character gently tried to get Grace's to accept the possibility she (Grace's character) might be a lesbian. Yes, it was beyond surreal.
