Fire training exercises... starbuck is back in the saddle? Oh yeah, Kat was the C.A.G. Which was why Starbuck was going for her. Still treated as a legend for pullng off a miracle, even though she shouldn't have had to do it: that the only reason that she had to was her own screwup. Oh, good reminder / point! It's a magic jump rope. Yeah, she could have handled it better. But the mom wasn't exactly handling it that well either. You need a magic jump rope. ;D Or isn't admitting it.

Word on Athena (this is taken from the link that I posted yesterday). In the Original Series, Athena was Apollo's sister, appropriately enough. When Ron Moore reimagined the series, he cut out Athena because she didn't really seem to have a purpose. So now they've given this Sharon the call sign Athena, indicating her daughterly connection with Adama. She's now part of the family. <Edited because I didn't have my facts straight the first time.> Oh. But the link you posted the other day to the seminar, RM made Starbuck the "Adama's daughter" figure instead via her being engaged to Zak.

Amen. Though, at this time, isn't the monotheism their own culture/religion? I'm thinking they get to Earth. Explains the development of montheistic religions hereabouts. Hey, so maybe we are all Cylons? Technically, we're probably hybrids.

This was a really good episode. A lot of housekeeping, but managed to maintain interest rather than becoming just an information dump.
*Baltar speaking for the audience about a) whether the Six in his head is real or not and b) Why they're only seeing 7 models when they are supposed to be 12. Even though these issues weren't resolved they let us know that either, they read all the fandom discussion and they hear us, or they're acknowledging on their own that these are outstanding plot points. And also the "Am I a Cylon" question, though I don't know how many people were wondering that. I certainly wasn't.
*A lot about the Cylons and how they live and how the skinjobs differ from humans.
*Touching more on the order of things during the Second Exodus. Who is in what position, the overcrowding, social dynamics.
*A refresher course on the Roadmap to Earth.

"Chrome dome" "Toaster Babe" I like "Athena" And Starbuck and Tigh drinking together like good old times. Great. Comparing angst issues. They are SO playing Baltar. Baltar bringing up what I asked about last week!! "We don't talk about them. Ever." Why not? Base ship lost? Hybrids? Disease? Raiders and base ships are living creatures, too. Are the raiders, heavy raiders, and base ships three of the five?Is the Res Ship alive, too? Oh, that's an interesting idea!!

Too many pilots, not enough birds. Sharon, not Boomer. New callsign, Athena. Thank you for making it easy to distinguish the 2. Dead Man's Chest. This is a rather civilized conversation so far. Why only seven known models? Speaking for the viewers. I can't talk about that. Speaking for the producers. Hee. Heeee, indeed. That was rather cute, actually. ;D Oh, nice analogy.

Or maybe Starbuck is distancing herself from "Family Adama." Things have changed. I dunno. Anyway you slice it, the callsign Athena a deliberate reference, I think.

Do Cylons dream of electric sheep? Hee! Another production I loved. Bladerunner. I think that's why I'm liking the stuff on the Cylon ship. It has cool visuals, like Bladerunner. Well, I don't mean like Bladerunner, but both are cool. You know!

I love your magic jump rope theory, Lola! I wish I had me one of those.
Are the ceilings in the gym on Galactica high enough to do jump rope?

I suppose he can have 2 daughters. Starbuck needs to reconnect SOMEWHERE though. Seriously. At least we see a bit with her attempt with Kasey.

My sound won't work at all live. I have to play it with a 7 second delay. Wacky. And how odd for you. Matthew, is this what happened to yours too? Must be some kind of techno evil that is happening today. My whole cable was out when I got home - apparantly a whole mess of cable boxes had their ID numbers wiped out of Comcast's system. According to the rep I talked to who reauthenticated me (after waiting on hold for 35 minutes) "this has never happened before, that I know of". And my DVR is still acting funky. But I still got internet, so I say, c'est la vie! Or something.

When Starbuck and Tigh are toasting and saying "yeah, right" there is a seriously frakked up situation. Morale has taken a hell of a hit. "Holding court" Helo's the XO? "I don't think they care, sir" true enough. they are both so busy bleeding that they cant' see anything else. So these are the hybrids. Oracles of Pythia, with the blathering.. she's The Ship Who Sang. Ooh, ooh! I thought that too!!! I keep thinking that it's gonna turn out Baltar is their God . . . . I have no idea why I think that . . . . I am clearly insane. ;D Oh that's perfect! Yes! More Trek references! ;D I wonder when that Six was last downloaded - maybe before the whole planet thing? Maybe the last she knew was him on Galactica? Well, the grill-work certainly looked like it could use a good vacuming . . . Baltar keeps digging holes for himself but then climbing out. Wonder if he'll get out of this one?
