Whoops. Obviously my information about the episode was totally wrong; the credited writer is Michael Taylor. You sure? I detect the light banter of Epsenson's style in every word and passage. And K.O. Riiiiiiiiight.

Yes, it sure does look like they're trying to kill each other.

Okay. Kara has officially pissed me off with this. Poor Lee. No wonder there are unresolved issues there.

Oh boy, this is gonna be interesting.
Early advantage to the crazy woman...
"So's all the good stuff" yep.
She's not getting married? She got married because of a frakkin' argument with LEE?!
"Looks like they're trying to kill each other"
"that's one perspective" Dee sees more, and Dee is a patient and understanding woman, to acknowledge that Lee has had Kara under his skin since before he knew her.
AND THERE'S the money shot for all you Kara/Lee shippers.
"Just like that" "shout it to the skies"
Oh, Kara....
"My name is Lee Adama and I love Kara Thrace" Wonder who all heard that little profession of faith.
Aw!! "Kara Thrace loves Lee Adama!" And that made it real. Saying it made it real.
Full contact kickboxing, apparently. Huh.
Morning After. Oh my.
Kara got married. WHAT?!? Woman has a HELL of a sense of timing.
Jesus, Kara, that's one hell of a sword strike. I can see why the rage.
"No, I can't believe it"
What, is she worried that she's gonna posion him, or something? that she's death to Adamas?
"Good luck! You;re gonna need it" heh.
All passion spent now, just trading blows as they think back on their dancing from before.
Can't hurt each other enough any more now to make the other feel it. and it falls into a clinch. Too exhausted.
Oh, poor Sam. Poor Dee.
"I missed you" "I missed you too"

Yes, it sure does look like they're trying to kill each other. No, Dee saw deeper. She knew that it was something else.

Listening to the podcast: the dogtags in the ammo box were the way they were drawing lots for who was fighting. I thought it was a symbol of how they were disregarding their rank for the purposes of these cathartic matches. Whups. *blushes*

Part I
17 months ago. Right after settlement on New Caprica.
Apollo's a bit stuffy/snobbish
Dualla's transfer to Pegasus.
Aw, Roslin and Adama.
Clever about the reason for the boxing.
Why is Starbuck the only one wearing bermuda shorts?

Part II
Plans for New Caprica. Would they ever have worked?
Ooh, I love that song.
Roslin was against settlement and now she wants to build a lakeside cabin?
Duration of what?
Make 'em tight. Kinky.
Chief doesn't get a cool tank top.
That was quick.

Part III
Stargazing.
Roslin's doubts.
Is this the end. Lay down your burdens indeed.
Adama has this resentment towards the Chief all this time? I never picked up on any of that.
Anders. Hee.
Gues its just you and me then. Let's get nekkid!!
Roslin knows her boxing.
I'm not gonna win.
Uch.
When you fight a man, he's not your friend. Same when you command.
Oh, I see. Hmm...
Ah, the boxing match is the dance.
Dance in the flashback vs boxing in the present.
So that's what its all about? Sort of. Still missing something.
Did Roslin and Adama sleep together then?

Part IV
Kara took her shirt off for this one.
Giving up flying.
War's over. So's all the good stuff. Ref was Dualla said about Lee needing a war.
Looks like they're trying to kill each other. That's one perspective. Yeah.
SQUEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
And they're wearing the dog tags. Hmm...
Well, that makes things more complicated.
Shout it to the skies. Flying.
Man, Lee's about to get his heart broken.
I'm guessing that's against the rules?
Kara abandoned him, chickened out?
So she got married right after that? Man, that explains why Lee is pissed at her.
We all deserve to be happy.
Anders, you are such a sucker.
Good luck; you're gonna need it.
Flashback to the big moments.
They are going to start making out at any moment.
Everyone bails. Heh.
I missed you. -I missed you too.

This episode was brought to you by YOUR HORMONES.
It felt completely untethered (like no idea how soon after the last episode this happens), but I really like it. I suppose if you're not down with Kara/Lee, then you probably wouldn't care much for episode.

"that's one perspective" Dee sees more, and Dee is a patient and understanding woman, to acknowledge that Lee has had Kara under his skin since before he knew her. I'm still not completely understanding Dualla. Possible that she suspected Lee's interest in Kara before and while they were together and now she definitely knows something, but she's just going along with it? And I don't think its about status or anything. I'm not getting that vibe. She really cares about Lee enough to be second fiddle/sloppy seconds?

I think Dee knew about Lee's gravitational pull towards Kara, but figured that he was an honorable enough man to set it aside while they were both in committed relationships with someone else. I think that she loves him enough to have set aside jealousy for the connection they've (lee & kara) had in the past, up until this moment: but seeing it there in the middle of the ring, naked and blunt, well, I don't see her settling for "second fiddle" when it's gone this far. I mean, they had sex with their fists in front of everybody there.
