LOL! Yeah, they're all wet and shiny. Quite a revelation about Kara from Sam. - That Apollo wasn't the first.Oh, no! She's going down, and not in the fun way. For some reason, I have trouble believing that. It just doens't seem to jibe with her character. She's not Ellen, even if he IS jealous as all heck.(and rightly so this time 'round) Huh. I thought that comment by Sam was pretty much reinforced by Kara herself with her comment about how the marriage vow was a sacrament, but that 'this' (meaning teh sex/cheating) was just - how did she put it? 'Just bending the rules." They are really so very different. Apollo and Kara.

I'm trying to figure out who in this episode did NOT act like a complete and total idiot at some or at most points in this ep. That's gotta be a short list. The Basestar, maybe. She seemed pretty sensible. Chief and Cally seemed all right. Dee as well. She stayed professional and didn't rise to Kara's bait during the briefing. Adama. He went straight to Laura and demanded to know the truth about Hera. And knew better than to even open his mouth when she was done; he left the room before he could say the bad things you KNOW were going through his head. Also, he went himself to speak to Athena and Helo about it, which I thought was good. Gaeta. Still got my Gaeta-crush goin on. I want some more Gaeta-story. ;D

Eh? About Hera? I thought only Laura and Cottle knew about the switch. They did, but Adama when confronted by Helo and Athena didn't tell them that he didn't know about it. They assumed he did because he's the Admiral, but Laura did this behind his back. I took him to be very angry when Laura admitted what she did, and instead of punching her out, he decides to nuke her blessed temple that is showing the way to earth. Oooh, I didn't see him doing that as an act of revenge against Laura, but as a desperate measure to keep the Cylons from reaching Earth. I mean, he's not really going to nuke his only remaining child and the closest thing he has to a daughter just because he's pissed at Laura, is he?

I think the temple-nuking is his way of protecting the thirteenth tribe and the balance of humanity: something he really really doesn't want to do, but will do if he has to. I mean, Dee and Galen and Cally and STARBUCK AND LEE are down there: all his favoritest kids. And when he talked with Athena and Helo, well, I saw him as taking responsibillity for it, even if he had no awareness of the actions: a commander's place.

Eh, I think that they are more similar than they are different in a lot of ways: and I think that Kara was calling it "bending the rules" as a very special exception. I see her as being.... too proud to "tomcat around" in the way Ellen did: I also don't feel that there are that many men that would meet her standards.

But since they actually were there, I guess that doesn't count as acting like an idiot. And yeah, Cally was cool and collected, and Dee was a rock, able to keep her eyes on the mission, knowing that they could work the personal crap out later if they all lived. Bill Adama? Yeah. I gotta give you that one. He went from Athena to Roslin, demanded the truth, and went straight back to Athena and Helo with it, with no b.s.ing about it all. Gaeta? Gaeta didn't HAVE anything to do this episode. Don't worry, your curly-haired prince's day will come again. He's already proven he's got huge brass ones: I kinda loved him for his refusal to beg. so yeah, fair assessment. Them and the Basestar.

I don't think his plan was to nuke them along with the temple, but get the out of harm's way before he actually pushed the button, otherwise - insane!

I don't exactly recall, but didn't Kara sleep with Baltar? She's not in Ellen's class of tomcatting.......yet. Being different is a good thing in a lot of ways, but to differ on basic morality/social/religious issues is a huge roadblock to a relationship, unless the parties can come to some sort of understanding between them. And yeah, I've crossed over from Kara/Apollo to the Cylons/Humans.

Previouslies: Oh, they're going to bring up the baby swap!
Teaser
So this planet has an oxygen atmosphere.
Mmm, hot fudge planet.
Dualla's suspicions.
Ah, they're acutally conducting an affair. Bad Lee! Bad Kara!
Chief senses something?
Sanctity of marriage.
Divorce is different? Well yeah, but not like how you're trying to make it sound.
Well, maybe if you hadn't gotten married in the first place.
Whoa. What is this place? A temple?

Part I
Temple is 4K years old. I thought the 13th colony split off 3K ya.
Temple of the Five. Now why would the humans call it that?
Oh, yeah. Chief's dad was a priest.
Baltar. Just the person everyone wants to speak to.
Sharon, D'Anna, Cavil, and Baltar.
Cavil hasn't lost his sense of humor.
Ah, this was the original settlement of the 13th colony.
Heh. They have no idea that the reason the humans are here is because of the food problem.
I've saved your life. Again.
Boomer drops the bomb.
So the humans aren't taking Baltar.

Part II
Physical description? Does it, maybe, look like an eye?
Can I make a suggestion you won't like? Do you make any other kind?
Using Sam is actually a good suggestion.
Sam: still clueless. Or not so clueless.
Chief and Cally's baby is called Niki.
Chief's faith.
Chief dancing naked in the prayer room with porn. #rofl1# #rofl1#
That there looks like an eye.
Chief feels something true.
Adama's looking at the camera, not Gaeta.
Those sneaky Cylons.

Part III
Sam motivating the troops.
Sam's look of death towards Lee.
Sam digging on Lee.
Married for a year and a half. So now we're at 6 months after exodus?
Wow, that's remarkably clear.
Is it just this hybrid or all the hybrids that do this?
Lovers quarrel.
Poor Caprica.
Kara's look of death towards Dualla.
Karma, Kara?

Part IV
Five priests. That's why it's called the Temple of Five. But is there a connection?
Adama confronts Roslin about the baby swap. This should be good.
The wronged Agathons.
Are Sam and Lee gonna rescue Kara buddy movie style?
Yeah, I think guerilla tactics would be better. The other way only works if you have superior numbers.
To be continued. Huh.
