Isn't it mostly Baltar who keeps saying if he's a Cylon then it means he didn't betray anyone? Besides, regardless of who or what he is Baltar believed he was human when he helped Six—and thus believed he was betraying humanity through his actions. Why else would he have been so relieved to think he was a Cylon during his little hallucination there but because he knows, deep down, that if he is human then what he did was reprehensible? I like the idea of a "Who're the Five" speculation thread. Personally, I think it'd be fun if Tigh and/or Zarek discover they're toasters. See, for me, if he's a Cylon acting on a deeply buried program, then he's off the hook, morally. If he was a Cylon just acting like Baltar, well, that's different. I was gonna say something about how Athena contradicts this, but then I realized I was full of it: Athena was aware of what she was, and defected, eyes-open. Boomer, however, was a sleeper, and carried out her programming against her most intense wishes, even though these were her comrades. So being deep-programmed would fully absolve Baltar. BUT being a cylon model 0, with total free will, and without knowledge of his cylonity, just Baltar, well, yeah, he's an arrogant scum-monkey who never had a second thought about the idea that security protocols exist for a reason: anything HE wants to do is allowable, in his eyes; as being such a supergenius, he knows best, and can't be caught with his shorts down, because no-one else can approach his level of intelligence. Still not actively guilty of betraying the human race there, but definetly guilty of supreme negligence leading up to it: trap of free will: you have to live with the consequences: and even if he is a cylon, if he's an avatar of the cylon god, he's made the model with total free will; and even if he wasn't a traitor to begin with, he became one more and more as the first season progressed.

Now I am new to this show, but I have a curious question, when they asked Baltar if he was a Cylon, and he said no. I saw a strange look on Roslyns face. Like she was just really too anxious for his answer, and when he said no , she said something like , "so he is one of us".
Now I find that statement very curious, if he is not Cylon then obviously he would be "one of us". Why make that particular statement. Unless you in someway want to reassure everyone that you yourself are "one of us."
plus at the end of last week before she died D'anna said , I am so sorry , I had no Idea. Meaning it was a real shock to her who one of the 5 were. At least that is the way I percieved it to mean.
Basically my question is what is the possibility of Roslyn being a Cylon? please help out a BSG Newbie.

You're not alone in the questions about Madame President.

Ok, that was creepy. And warped. And I am a sick, sick, sick puppy. Because a teey tiny part of me wanted it to be Gaeta giving him mouth to mouth. **hides in shame** *pets Lola* That's okay. I'd be happy to see Gaeta giving ANYBODY mouth to mouth.

I'm now operating under the assumption that Baltar is NOT a Cylon and that his drug-induced babblings are the clearest reflection of whatever the hell has been going on in his addled brain this whole time.
<edit> I thought Bill explained it well, by describing Baltar's eyes and talking about him seeing himself as the "victim" in everything. Which...I really see how that works. Whatever culpability Baltar ought to have, he sees himself as exempt from because he sees himself as one fo the victims of it all, rather than as any sort of active participant.
Except...what was that about helping Gaeta feed information to the insurgents? Was that just blowing smoke because he saw the spycam or what?

I thought he might have been aware that Gaeta was feeding information, and was not interfering with it because, well, there was no real reason for him not to: if things changed, it'd give him leverage in the future. And I think (for me at least) the jury's still out on his cylonosity or not. I don't think he fully died enough for us to know for certain.

Not on screen, as far as I recall: but he had seen resurrection goop in the dried form enough to recognize when he saw it in Three's hair.

It's still possible he'd seen them offscreen: I was thinking about that idea, that his asphyxiation-dream was based on stuff he HAD seen, say, after he found out about Three's bad habit...

Well, I was just trying to narrow it down, from the last ep. IF he didn't know about the resurrection tanks and what happened in them, his dreams weren't really dreams, but almost-resurrections maybe. If he DID know about the tanks, then they were probably just dear-death or drug-induced hope-dreams. And I was trying to figure out which.

And it's so much fun watching him wiggle and waffle....

Teaser
Nightime
Baltar and Six singing lullabys? Creepy.
Preparing to commit suicide?
What's up with Gaeta? He knows somehow?
I think this is a dream sequence. I think.
The three sisters?
That's a bit rough actually. Hee.
Yep. Dream sequence.
How did Gaeta know?
