I swear I can not stop the Betsay typing... So, this is completely off topic and irrelevant but my typo keeps making me think of it.
My girl cat's name is Betsy. As I kept typing out the name Betsy tonight, I was thinking... where have I heard that name. Who do I know that is a Betsy?! It wasn't until I mistyped it and corrected myself (several times, mind you) that I realized, DUH, it's my baby's name.

It's funny, when I growing up, I was always the one named Betsy. Now that I've gotten older, I'm finding many more with that name.
My hairdress had another client named Betsy and the receptionist at the Salon was named Betsy also.

I do like the name. However, I'll admit my naming my cat Betsy was an accident on my part. I love cows and she looks like a cow (err, she's all white with black spots/splotches). So, I was thinking.. hey I'll name her after that cow in the commecials. You know, Betsy... ERR, BESSIE! It was two/three months later when I explained why I had named her Betsy (I have a tendecy to give my cats "people" names and people always want to know why), that someone finally told me I was an idiot and had misnamed her.
In the end, it all comes out peaches... she's my Beautiful Betsy and I'd have her no other way!

Hmmm, somehow it seems wrong to say this on the first page of a new SSS section but... hell, I'm only human.

Hello, my dear fellow S'Cubies! At long last, through illness and other suckiness, I have come through with exclusive details for you of what was one of the most wonderful, amazing, and honestly miraculous nights that I've had in my entire life in a long, long time. It happened on May 10 during my experience at the Chicago "Buffy Flashback Weekend" Convention, which ran from May 9-11, and it's ALL TRUE - I have S'Cubies Deborah C., Kathy G., Kathy's son Sam, James, a few others, and GOD as my witnesses!
I was just going to describe the events in a nice, SIMPLE post earlier this week, but oh, no - on top of everything else, my lack of brevity struck again, so I have instead uploaded it to a webpage on my own personal site.
Thank you all for your kind patience; I've heard through the grapevine that some have been anxiously awaiting news from me about the Chicago Con; hopefully this will be worth your wait. I have more experiences I could share and will try to share later on; I'm sure that other attendees have already long since posted their stories and pictures elsewhere. But I think what happened to me on May 10th was exclusive to me alone. I wouldn't wish on almost anyone what led up to it, but I wouldn't trade that night for nearly anything in the world.
May I also say thank GOD that "Angel" is being renewed and that they got James on the show FULL TIME for next season! I'm unspoiled for the final "Buffy" ep, but come what may, knowing Spike will live on with the "Angel" series will certainly be a great comfort/buffer to me. Anyway...
Glad to be back - now CLICK HERE and... hopefully... please enjoy - and be proud to be a Spike/JM fan!
Take care all, Miss Pamela, VHISN Linguistics Chair
