Excuse me for peeking inside another's gift, Nan's SS, but hmmmm. I had no idea such a place existed. One can certainly get one's poem fix there, if one has a poem addiction. That's okay, Spring. Good children always share their presents. Unless "small annoying dog" is a way of saying "puppy", I'd say he's either not house trained, very unhappy, or ill. A change in diet might work, though. The vet might tell you that. Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and your annoying little dog! Ho ho ho!

A change in diet might work, though. The vet might tell you that. Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and your annoying little dog! Ho ho ho!Thanks, Nan's SS. Unfortunately, the dog is not a puppy, and became "unhousebroken" when its owner had to take a second job and was keeping it in a crate all day (12 hrs and more.) He started soiling in the crate, and is still willing to do that. The owner realized that she just couldn't handle having the dog and the second job at that point. So I am keeping him until she gets back on her feet. But he is very very hard to "re-housebreak," since housebreaking techniques take advantage of the fact that dogs don't like to soil in an enclosed area. But I am trying! He shows some SLOW progress! Thanks for your words of encouragement, Nan's SS!

Whoops! Santa fell a little behind this week, so you'll get two for the price of one: Santa hopes you haven't read this one already: www.livejournal.com/users/theohara/161053.html?view=794909Sadly not Spuffy, but highly amusing nonetheless. Santa also wants you to know that Alanna, she of the screencap reviews, has some funny bits on her site, including one involving Spike, Buffy, and a washing machine. Wee bit saucy, though. These are nice too: www.alanna.net/btvs/aftermathematics.htmwww.alanna.net/btvs/conversations.htmAs for books you might be interested in, Santa is often wary of recommending books, but thinks you might be interested in The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, or Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell by Susanna Clarke (which Santa hasn't read yet, but will). Also, Santa would like to apologize for the lack of pretty graphics in your gift, as well as referring to himself throughout this post in the third person. {{{SUE}}} Merry Christmas!

Dear Rachael,
Every time I hear this song, it makes me think of you. In honor of both your still recent-feeling loss to your family and the more recent but ever so much more joyful addition, this is for you....
These are just the lyrics, but I've sent the whole song to your ucsf.edu email address. Let me know if you'd like me to send it somewhere else. Or in a different format, other than .wma...
I hope you enjoy, and that it makes you smile just a little.
Love,
Your Secret Santa

Daughters by John MayerI know a girl. She puts the color inside of my world. She's just like a maze, Where all of the walls all continually change.
I've done all I can To stand on the steps with my heart in my hand, But I'm starting to think Maybe it's got nothing to do with me.
Fathers be good to your daughters; Daughters will love like you do, yeah. Girls become lovers who turn into mothers, So mothers be good to your daughters, too.
Oh, you see that skin; It's the same she's been standing in Since the day you two met. I bet I was on your mind Never never anytime.
Fathers be good to your daughters; Daughters will love like you do, yeah. Girls become lovers who turn into mothers, So mothers be good to your daughters, too.
Boys you can break, You find out how much they can take. Boys will be strong, and boys soldier on, But boys would be gone without warmth From a woman's good, good heart
On behalf of every man, looking out for every girl, You are the god, and the weight of her world. On behalf of every man whose looking out for every girl, You are the god, and the weight of her world.
Fathers be good to your daughters, Daughters will love like you do, yeah. Girls become lovers who turn into mothers, So mothers be good to your daughters, too. So mothers be good to your daughters, too.

That's what I was going to ask you! What's your professional opinion? Seems to me there are three possibilities: 1) Sara's right, and they're very excited to see you. Could be, but given that they probably haven't actually seen you, seems unlikely that a photo session would excite them that much. Unless, by chance, they're gay. Or the photographer was a really hot naked chick. 2) Some of them are, well, stuffing their Speedos. I have no data either way, but it seems like a valid possibility. 3) They're just...impressive...when unstimulated. 'Nuff said. ;D
