JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE EVIL IS NO REASON TO HAVE BAD MANNERS!
Paraphrasing Rachael's addendum to the S'cubie creed reminded me of the six divisions of good and evil as my son once explained them to me (dedicated gamer that he was at the time.)
He referred to them as follows:
Lawful Good Neutral Good Chaotic Good
Lawful Evil Neutral Evil Chaotic Evil
Lawful Evil would have very good manners indeed.
So here's your assignment my little Lawfuls and Chaotics,
Name your character: Can be Jossverse, VM, Lost or Alias. Hell, I'll throw in the Lucasverse too, since the damn thing opened today.
Tell us which of the six categories they fall under and why. Extra points if it's in rhyme (just because I'm the (Bloody Awful!) Poet-in-Residence and because it's my Nerd Alert! and I feel like it) but poetry's purely optional.
Have fun!

Buffy's Rayne's chaotic evil, Chaotic good is Mar's Weevil. Giles is no doubt Lawful Good. I've got no clue on Robin Wood.
Ethan worships chaos, see? And a good guy he'll never be. Weevil's law is all his own But for the right he'll get it done.
Giles' guide's the written words. Righteousness like tweed he girds. Though some may find Wood quite fair About Robin, I don't care.
Am I right? Or am I wrong? Or do we just all play along? I tend to work the best for treats, Steaks, and chops, and other meats.

The FIRST (evil): Chaotic Evil ;D (really, how hard was that?) You missed the WHY. Bad dog. Grr. Wuff! Oh. Um. Well, um---really, really evil? Okay, Not Lawful Evil: because, not just out to do evil to for selfish reasons but out to be mean, cruel, petty, big and little evil in all things. Inherently evil. Evil thru and thru. Evil from before the beginning of anything else and forever more. Not Neutral Evil (not even sure what this would look like). Chaotic Evil: the FIRST was hugely into Chaos--randomly appearing as all manner of other folks. Messing with minds and reality. Appearing as Eve to cause chaos in the potential ranks. Appearing as Buffy to also confuse Spike. Triggering Spike. Pretty chaotic. Evil just for the sake of evil. Not even sure what it's "agenda" was. Wanted to be part of and in control of every living being. Yep. chaotic. is that what you meant?

BUFFY - Lawful good.
She's The Chosen One. She "patrols." She snags the bad guys. She's The Law in Demonland.

Am I right? Or am I wrong? Or do we just all play along? I tend to work the best for treats, Steaks, and chops, and other meats. You scare me! ;D Seriously, I love these! And in rhyme, no less! Hmmmmm. I would say that Ethan is both Chaotic Evil and Chaotic Good - or perhaps just Chaotic. (If only for his warning about the Initiative. But I guess also because he could likely do much worse things, more straightforwardly nasty, but chooses instead to do stuff that tricks, that confuses, that "plays".) Giles? Yup. And Ripper would perhaps be . . . well, now he would perhaps be Chaotic Good (band candy - chaotic indeed, but still aimed toward saving the babies and so on), but in the old days . . . hmmmmmm. Angel . . . perhaps Neutral Good? Doing good but not necessarily following the rules to do so? Using whatever and dealing with all types of people and demons to do so? Which, I suppose, might make Spike moving from Chaotic Evil ("a little less ritual and a little more fun) to Neutral Evil (chipped - Why does everyone of your little scooby gang keep forgetting I'm evil) to Chaotic Good (saving the woman but dissing her footwear - always up for "real fight", etc.)? Interesting levels. Those wacky gamers! ;D

Andrew, because it's an Andrew day. Neutral evil because he just wanted Warren to like him. Neutral good for the same reason, he just wanted Spike and the S'cubies to like him.
Jonathan: Lawful evil. He did have very good manners, after all and really did not want to do anything the "law" would bite him for. He was ok with sticking with the otherwordly realm that the police had no involvement in.
