S'cubies! Post your Secret Santa virtual gifts on this thread. Remember, in order to stay secret you must be logged out whenever you post a gift, so you can post as a GUEST, with an identifying name. FOR EXAMPLE: If you are assigned as Secret Santa to S'cubie Ruby Doobie, post gifts for her here in this thread, using the guest name RUBY DOOBIE'S SECRET SANTA, and name the post with RUDY DOOBIE’s name. It would look like this: Be sneaky with your comments and style! Don’t let people figure out whose Santa you are!Remember too, when you RECEIVE a gift, be sure to use this thread to thank your Secret Santa. Every S'cubie, whether he or she is a Secret Santa or not, is also welcome to post their comments on the gifts here!Post a gift at least once a week, every week until Christmas (4 gifts total minimum). You can find more details on the initial Secret Santa announcement on the Bulletin Board thread (page 19). Also, feel free to IM Spring (SpringSummers) or Erin (mt) if you have any questions. Go to it, Th’cubies!

Hi Dev! You wanted pictures of either Charisma Carpenter or Summer Glau for Christmas, so I thought I would start with a tame one who might ask about your family so she can offer ideas for gifts for them like you asked. So, here is the first of several pictures for your enjoyment: Merry Christmas! ;D

I was first... you like me you really like me! Thanks secret santa! You're the bestest. Of course I do! Now about those family members for whom you want gift ideas . . .. Who are they, i.e. mom, sister, dad, female cousins, brothers, etc. and their ages and a brief background so I can come up with another of your gifts. ;D

Vladster-- No time for pleasantries, man. The post-Thanksgiving rush is on, the elves are already threatening to strike (I never should've let them unionize), and the reindeer... let's just say I'm never going to let them have their holiday party at Burrito Bob's on All-You-Can-Eat Buffet night ever again. Or let Dancer be in charge of picking the restaurant. Although they tell me that at least the food was better than the Donner party's last year... However, while I was out shopping for the missus I did find this little gem I knew was jsut right for you:

So far i've got my mum a book but am looking for one other gift. Got my little sister some jewelry and looking for some beauty product ideas and i've got nothing for my dad at all! Doesn't help that it's big sisters and dads birthdays on 9th and 16th of December right before Christmas.

Dear Liz,
Regarding your wish # 5:
"JM to make a film adpatation of Macbeth":
even Santa is not God.
I'm not sure I can arrange the funding to manipulate the PTB (or the Senior Partners for that matter) in Hollywood to actually produce this movie.
However, in the meantime, I give you the following two pictures to fantasize about give you sweet dreams of James:
~Liz' Secret Santa(This second image is an original drawing, courtesy of artwork-by-arco. Mr. Arco has graciously given permission for this image to be used as a Christmas gift for Liz only, and he invites all S'cubies to stop by his website at www.artwork-by-arco.com for additional samples of his work.) Dear Sue – Not particularly good this year? Secret Santa says, ho ho ho! And so, because you’re always busy taking care of others, here’s a few special indulgences just for you! "Wish number 5 - Easy main dish recipe." I made this when I was wooing Mrs. Claus. Needless to say, it worked. Braised Sirloin Tips 1 tblsp butter, 1 tblsp olive oil 2 lbs beef sirloin tip (cut in 1 inch cubes by yourself or your butcher) 1 can of condensed beef consume 1/3rd cup of burgundy or any hearty red wine 2 cloves of garlic – diced 2 tblsp soy sauce couple of dashes of onion salt 2 tblsp of either flour or cornstarch (for thickening) 1/4th cup of water
Heat shortening and olive oil in large skillet until melted and smoking. Toss in sirloin cubes and brown on all sides.
Stir in consume, wine, soy sauce, garlic and onion salt. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer ½ hour to an hour, or until meat is tender. (If liquid level falls too low, add a bit more wine and some water.)
Blend together cornstarch (or flour) and water. Stir gradually into meat mixture, raise heat until gravy thickens (boil approx 1 minute if using cornstarch).
Serve over noodles or rice."Wish number 12 – motivation to go to the gym." Here are a few tips and ideas from Mrs. Claus and myself. * Habit and routine actually work! The longer you are able to stick with your exercise program, the more likely you are to make the type of permanent change that leads to lasting success.
* Try scheduling exercise like you make others kind of appointment – put it on your calendar. Consider it something you deserve, not something you will get to “when everyone else is taken care of.”
* Set concrete goals of overall health and fitness (rather than how much you weigh) and make yourself recognize and celebrate when you make progress. Find a method to reward yourself – like putting a dollar in a special “exercise jar” everytime you work out. Then spend the money on something you wouldn’t normally buy for yourself.
* Create your own personal “reasons list” and write it down. Carry a pen and paper with you for a few days and jot down reasons as they come to you. Here are a few ideas that others have had: more energy to spend time with and have fun with your family and friends to be able to live a long, healthy life to get a wonderful rush of endorphins
* Try exercising with a friend. It makes exercise more fun and you end up reinforcing and encouraging each other. It’s harder to quit when someone else is depending on you.
* You love numbers, Sue, so use that love to your advantage. Set number goals, like number of minutes of exercise each week or number of minutes able to do a particular exercise. Create graphs and charts of your progress. Calculate percentages of success, etc. Indulge your love of numbers! And finally, after all that good food and brisk exercise, we come to: "Wish number 7 - a massage. (I understand that this might be difficult to deliver virtually, but I trust in your creativity!)" Come with me now, to the virtual spa - - - - - Warm and comfortable, wrapped in a soft plush towel, you lay down on the comfortable padded massage table. The lights are dim and soothing; gentle music and sound plays around you. The masseuse warms the almond oil in her hand and beings her first gentle yet confident strokes on your face and scalp. Tension that you did not even realize you had begins to melt away. Fingers erase the knots in shoulders and back; long firm strokes down your arms and legs pull tension out and energize at the same time. Hands and feet are kneaded and rolled until they are pliable and tingling. Sound good? Want to try it in real life? Here are some possibilities near you. massage places, more massage placesHave a very merry Christmas, Sue! Now I have to get out the technical manuals and start in on some of these other wishes.

Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas, Onjel! Have you been a good girl? I am going to go ahead and give you a gift, and trust that you aren't on my "naughty" list! I noticed that your wish list asks for pictures of pretty men, wet, dry, clothed or unclothed. So, here they are, as ordered: I hope you like the pretty! (Special thanks to Dev's Secret Santa. I have borrowed your pretty reindeer decoration!)

Oh my goodness. I have the best Santa in the whole world! 3 gifts at once! Thanks for the recipe. It looks doable even for me. Allison specifically asked over Thanksgiving for "one meal with red meat". Seems like she never gets/eats it in the cafeteria. And, after 30, 23, 21, 18 years of my cooking my family will really appreciate something new! Also, excellent advice on the exercising. That will probably have to wait until Jan to be put into practice, but I'm hoping it will help! (It's a lot more helpful than Carolyn's nagging!) And, whoa----you give good massage! And thank you SO MUCH for the local links. I'm definitely going to give the "Southeastern Career College" a try. I think it was written up in the local paper under "Ms. Cheap's" column. Because they are students the rates are about half of a typical massage, but the students are near graduation and closely supervised. YAY! Wonderful, wonderful gifts, Santa. These are for you:
