By all means, if you think you may be having PMS, staying home could be a very good thing. ;D Vlad Statistically, the chances are very high that SOMEONE will be having it on any given 3-day weekend. So if you're really concerned about it, perhaps it should be YOU staying home. For, you know, safety reasons.

It is with great regret that I announce that Rich and I will not be attending this year's S'cubiefest. But I wanted to see you guys! *sigh* I'll just have to suck it up. Is there any time or location that would be good for you?

SURPRISE! It looks like I might be able to go after all. I talked to Ian about it last night and he said, "Well of course you should go. You'll get to see your buddies!"
Then my daughter tells me that she might be out of town that weekend. So much for the family activities.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love that man?

I'll start the luck vibes going right away.

Ok. I am taking the weekend of Labor Day off. Hopefully I'll have enough cash, since I'm staying over in Germany about three weeks after Army training to afford the trip. So count me 80% yes unless something comes up!

Due to the very limited number of people who can actually attend the selected date/location, we've decided to postpone the fest until next year so we can try to find a venue and timeframe more convenient to having more people be able to get there. Disappointed apologies from your TPs, ATPs and planning staff.

Disappointed apologies from your TPs, ATPs and planning staff. No apology necessary for me. And I'll start the process for next year by pushing for a Feb/March/early April date and suggesting we start a "5 year rotation plan" to hit the SE, SW, NE, NW and back to Midwest. [On the theory that sometimes when you try to please everybody with either/both the date and place the compromise winds up less good for all. So I'd suggest just attempting to make one small contingent very happy, let the rest of us travel as necessary and move around each year.] What? You weren't already asking for fresh kibbitzing? ;D

Trying to keep it centralized is a nice idea, but I think I'd like to see other parts of the country too. I think it would be nice to make S'cubiefest available for those who haven't been able to attend. Put me in for liking the Feb-April timeframe.

At least try to not keep revisiting the same place over and over. I can't imagine how hard this must be to plan online, so kudos to all the s'cubiefest planners.
