Well, Dawn IS old enough to get involved in SOME sort of romantic relationship...
Unless we introduce a brand new character, who else is there?
Then again, if you were drawing up a character to get involved with a former beautiful green ball of pure energy, what would you write?
I don't think it would be an ordinary guy...I don't think it COULD be. She did have a brief interest in a vamp, but as vamps go he was pretty ordinary and it only lasted one night up until she found out his true nature. Yet a third souled vamp is redundantly redundant. How about some sort of demon/angel/supernaturalguy? Maybe somebody sort of young BradPitty or DeCaprioish?
Use imagination, please.

Yes, if there was a Dawn The Vampire Slayer spin-off, she would need to find a love interest before long – and a souled vampire would be very “been there, done that” (twice).
It might be fun to see her go through a series of guys, with Spike in the role of a snarky protective father-type, who keeps his eye on all of them and threatens them as need be. Xander could be some back up here as well. I mean, a guy would think twice about trying to take advantage of Dawn with Spike and Xander giving him the evil eye and telling him to have her home by 11.
Naturally Dawn would rebel with some sort of bad-boy type she sneaks around with . . . how about we find out that Giles, being the bad boy that he was in his youth, has an illegitimate 18 yr old son - who is following in his bad boy footsteps? Giles sends him to America to stay with Xander, who has promised Giles Jr a job. Giles hopes that moving the boy thousands of miles away from the bad crowd he hangs around with will do him some good.
Of course, this bad British boy attracts Dawn immediately!
Who to cast in it though? I really don't know. Someone good looking but naughty looking.

If only Christian Bale were a little younger.....failing that, I'd make it a child of Giles and Olivia. Someone like Mekhi Phifer or Taye Diggs. They're clearly a little older but still in their 20's...if they did a proper accent and dress them right they could pass for college kids, at least. Nick Brendon and Charisma Carpenter are both in their early 30's. If we can accept them as high school students we can surely accept 25 year old actors playing college freshmen.

I may have posted this elsewhere...never gonna happen b/c of certain spoilers that have been making the rounds and/or certain ambitions of certain actors to pursue film careers, and that's all well and good, but...
Picture this. Final apocalyptic battle. In order to fake out the FE, Faith and Buffy switch bodies again. Faith (in Buffy's body, or shall we say the SMG's body) is killed. Buffy survives, only she is now in Faith's body. Eliza Dushku takes over, AS BUFFY. I think ED and JM would have some fantastic chemistry.
In order for me to accept some new SIT as the newly crowned Slayer and central character, she'd have to be pretty phenomenal, and Kennedy hasn't made that kind of impression on me yet.
In the realm of the feasible, I think Spike should become human (I'm in the Shansu camp). And I love the Spike-as-Watcher theory. I don't think we should count on Tony Head signing on for an 8th season. Spike needs to move on past Buffy. He should be on his own, romantically, for awhile before they throw him a new love interest. And with SMG coming on in guest spots, there could be some fantastically bittersweet moments between the two.

Some color in a very white world, I could live with that. You have no idea how exciting it was to see Giles-Mr. Stuffy pants with the very sexy and very black Olivia. I always thought there should be more ethnic variety on Buffy. I felt that Joss would be the one person who could write for an ethnic character w/o making it so obvious that the character is ethnic.
Now on to Mekhi-yes because he has an edge and can be very authentic in whatever he does, but please and I'm on my knees when I say this-NO TAYE DIGGS!!!! I know this is only a what if type thing, but I just don't like Mr. Diggs.

I don't care what color he is, but I would not want Giles Jr to be Olivia's son. He should be more of a surprise than that - I mean, he should be a son that Giles recently found out about. That would explain why Giles never mentioned him, and he lived in America for years without a care.
Giles Jr should have that street-tough British thing going, but be madly in love with our Dawnie underneath his cool bad-boy exterior. Spike and Xander could toss him around a lot and keep him in line, and of course, he would hate them both. Lots of tension, snarking, Dawn being rebellious . . .
This would give the spin-off a good excuse for interesting guest spots by Tony Head, and that's always a good thing.
Or else Angel's son Connor could move into Sunnydale, but - I don't dislike this actor, but he really seems miscast to me. I would not like to see him with Dawn.

Kara and others have been talking about the First Good balancing the First Evil in a few of the very recent BoTN episode posts. I was thinking it would be lovely if the First Good turned out to be taking the form of Principal Wood. Sunnydale has been so racially deprived, I think that development would strike a nice balance to end the series (which I hope doesn't happen).
I suppose somehow the First Good (if there is going to be such a thing) would have to have some presence on Angel also, in what form I'm not sure.

I think Olivia being the mother would be a surprise since no one even knew she existed until she just popped up in Hush (I think the was the epi).
Connor as a love interest would not work. He has the not human part down, but I wouldn't want to see that story told.

I started the speculation of a First Good in post #109. I also brought up that that Principal Wood could also possibly be an agent of the FG. I didn't go as far to say that he could be the First Good though.

No i mean, it's a complete new show...and so far i've written all the episodes for seasons 1 - 4 and 5 episodes for season 5...there's only 18 episodes per season though. Lewy Kulshore

These are all interesting suggestions, but I don't see Eliza agreeing to it. She's carved out a pretty solid film career in the last couple of years, working pretty steadily in a variety of things. For that reason I don't see her taking on a full-time series commitment unless they offer her SMG-type money. Incidentally, I still think the smart thing for Sarah to do is agree to return part time at the 750,000 per episode that she's reportedly been offered. A dozen eps = 9 million dollars and time to make films that utilize her talent more extensively than Scooby Doo 2. You give her the sort of roles Jodie Foster got at the same age and the sky's the limit for her. Rob Sorenson

In addition, Olivia appeared to be pushing a baby carriage while pregnant in "Restless." Why can't that part of the dream episode be as prophetic as everything else that has come to pass?
