OK, first an overview thought looking back on the whole ep before I put down my stream-of-thought notes. OMG! So excellent!! So scary!! (Like, the Blair witch would have had to watch like this **makes peek thru fingers motions**) So sweet and sad and ultimately joyful!!
Ahem. Ok. Notes I took as I watched.
Creepy house . . . . . and of course a creepy message under the wallpaper. Oh! Message from the Doctor from the past. Hee! Duck - really - now. And she does, unlike Buffy in the scary school basement.
TVs all having the Doctor on them? Huh. They're fast, don't look away, don't blink.
Sparrow and Nightingale, girl investigators.
It does sound good.
Sad is happy for deep people. Huh.
He was told to bring this letter to this place and give it to her. By the Doctor in the past again? Creepy angels are going to get the other girl, aren't they? Does the letter say to run in and save her?
Don't turn your back on the creepy angel!!
Eeeep! With the covered eyes and then not covered.
Oh!! Cathy was sent back in time and sent the letter to Sally now. So, she knew that she couldn't change time (or didn't want to) but wanted to warn Sally.
The key . . . to the TARDIS?
Run!!!!! Run Sally run Sally run Sally!!!!
Heeee! "You told him you were 19 - you lying cow." ;D I'm glad she had a good life in the past. She always wanted a change of life . . . interesting.
Telling the brother. Heee! Covering his dick with something only he's not naked now. ;D "She loves you." "Is she ill? . . . Am I ill? . . . Is this a trick?" ;D
Oooh! The Doctor and Martha are on easter eggs on DVDs! What a great way to pass a message to the future! But they didn't have DVDs in 1960 whatever when the other message was. Bouncing around in time, maybe? A "ghost DVD extra". Which is a very cool description.
"When you say the guys, you mean the internet, don't you?" ;D Gosh, you mean there are people on the internet obsessively analysing stuff on DVDs or other media? Noooo!
Heeeeeee! "More like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey-wimey . .. stuff."
Timey-wimey?
The other half of the conversation is with her! Cool! Only, how can that be if he's got a record of it . . . he always knew he'd be talking to her like this? He's hearing her now but knew he would be when he recorded it, but . . .
Heh. Nice! "Why does nobody ever just
go to the police!" ;D Very true. So, that's what she does!
Hmmmm. Angels and then . . . gone again. So, that's why you don't blink? Don't look away? They . . . can't get you if you're looking at them? Can only move when you don't look? He said "they move so fast", but that's only when you're not looking at them? So, it's like playing statues, when you're a kid.
Ooh, cute cop.
And they've heard about the house before. All sorts of pepoe have just dissapeared. They've all been sent to the past, I'll bet.
"Life is short and you are hot."
Right to the point, this one is.
Heeeeee! What a slip to make in front of the guy! "Sally Shipton . . . Sparrow!!" ;D Yeah, nothing hides your interest in a guy like a Freudian slip.
Nooooooo! Not the cute cop!!! Run run run!
Ah, didn't get away. But zapped back to 1969 with the Doctor and Martha. Heee! "The moon landing is brilliant! We went 4 times, back when we had transport." "Working on it!"
"Time travel without a capsule. Nasty! Catch your breath. Don't go swimming for an hour." ;D
Huh. The angels send you back in time and let you "live to death". That's . . . Huh.
"Stay away from hens, it's not pretty when they blow."
;D
Oh, Doctor!
Another person who is bringing her news from the past right after she's seen them in the now. (Excellent casting, by the by. He really looks like the same guy only older.)
Oh!
He was the DVD publisher! He recorded the conversation with the Doctor and put it on the DVDs!! Well, one thing going back into the past would do for you. You'd know what to invest in or prepare to do for a living and so on.
She can only see him tonight. See him once on the day he dies.
"I have until the rain stops."
So she stays with him.
Very sweet-sad-sweet scene with the two of them. And he had a happy life, really. Like her friend that went back to 1920. Happy, but I don't know if he really wanted a different life like Cathy did. He made the best of it, but . . .
The DVDs are all for me. He gets that revealed to him and all he notices is "you only have 17 DVDs?"
;D
They go back to the house to listen to them? Very cool to watch both sides of the conversation now. Ah! "Not
hear you exactly, but I know everything you're going to say". He gets the transcripts in the future!! The stuff the guy is writing down!
So, maybe he survives and puts them on the internet and the Doctor reads them there? Or is given them by the guy? Or the guy gets sent back to 1969 too? Or ?
"The angels have the phone box - that's my favorite! I've got that on a T-shirt!"
Cafe Press strikes again!
Lonely assassins. Huh. Oh, I was right, then. "Quantum locked". They can never be seen. They turn to stone if any living thing sees them. Oh. Any living thing including themselves . . . so they can't look at each other either. Loneliest creatures in the universe.
Eeeeeeeep! Scary scary scary! Run run run! Oh, the TARDIS! If you can keep them all in your sight . . . if she looks at the ones in the room and he looks back . . . and then walked back behind so he was looking at them all . . . and she opened the door and then looked while he came forward and then they jumped in . .
But that would take hella good timing. Hold your eyes open, physically!!! If I knew I couldn't blink? I would immediately blink. I know I would.
Creepy scary strobe effect. Aaaand they're inside! Yays!
Yay, Doctor! "Please insert the disc and prepare for departure." ;D
TARDIS goes, but not them . . . Oh! "He tricked them." They were all around and moving, so when the box went they were all looking at each other. Nice! Frozen forever because they'll always be looking at each other.
Awww. They set up a DVD shop together. And she's still thinking about how exactly the timing all works. But he's kinda right, just maybe let it go?
But no! There they are! Doctor and Martha . . . he doesn't know yet . . . Oh! "It was me all along. You got it all from me." There's that wibbly wobbly timey wimey ball of stuff thing. ;D
Most excellent ep. Excellent!
Previews! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Jack! **squeaks happily**
