Lola posted on the main thread . . . .
I am! But not until after Prison Break is over. They're airing 2 showings of Relative Chaos - one at 7 Central time, and the next at 9.
I am watching "Relative Chaos" right now. It is OK. Not terrible, not great, so far. Charisma appears to have a funner role than Nick. I do not like Nick's "staid older guy" look, or the whole idea of his character, Gil, coming on to the babysitter-college-girl. I hope that is a temporary deal. I do not want Nick to play an unlikeable character. I mean - he's all about likeable, and I'm hoping his comic talent will be on exhibit.
Hi, S'cubies!
Went to see sis in Cols for Labor Day cookout. Was yummy!
ETA - OK, well, the shower scene seems to suggest that Nick has certainly gotten himself back in shape . . . also, looks like Nick's character is a good guy after all. Charisma's character is getting the shaft here, from her boyfriend, though of course, she redefines "pushy." But - is she just a one time character, then? Or, this is just a one time movie, not a series premeire?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just a nice bit of lightweight movie - not a series. And definitely a bit predictable / not that deep, which I was expecting. But has some nice scenes in it.
I liked how they made each of the characters be the aggressor / not as nice sometimes and be a fundamentally ok / nice person sometimes. Even Charisma's character (Katherine?Catherine?) is pushy, yes, but you can see a person with their own feelings and issues in there. They don't make her a total bitca - just . . . pushy.
Nick looked very nice in the shower scene.
And Charisma looked very voluptuous in her series of low cut, cleavage-y sun dresses. (How's that for a review, Dev?) Especially next to all the other women who were very . . . aggressively althetic looking. Which is rather appropriate for this flic. Which is all about a family that is a bit too hooked on competition.
May try to post more of an actual review-y review later!
