What a hoot!
Fabulous, ladies and Vlad!
I especially loved the Two Ethans, #rofl1#, but all of the dialogue was outstanding.

Absolutely hysterical. Loved it, ladies! You had perfect "pitch" for the voices of the various presenters and guests. And the Cutie placement in some of the award shots was priceless. Loved the Cutie in the "Best Kiss" award.
Long live the Cuties!

My thoughts and observations:
1. I'll have to check the Rules to be sure...but shouldn't all performers at least be paid scale? There'd better be a check arriving in the mail very soon.
2. Considering that I voted under Spring-induced duress (she threatened to put my name in her notebook, for God's sake), I have mostly positive thoughts about the results. I actually voted for several of the winners. Hugh Laurie, especially, deserved the recognition.
3. I'm going to make a promise right here and now: if Nick Brendon gets a six-episode guest shot on "According To Jim," he won't receive a Cutie nomination from me. What say we do the same for all other BtVS alums who guest on substandard shows?
Not that I'm picking on anyone in particular.
4. Something I can actually speak to with experience: creating dialogue between two disparate characters is extremely hard to pull off. Each presentation of nominees was a little crossover fic in itself...and each were very well done. I was mightily impressed.
5. My substandard cameo appearance aside, the musical numbers were delightful. I can't begin to imagine the creativity required to make something like that happen...but I can say they were great fun.
6. What was up with the announcer? Dude sounded like he'd been on a 3-day Pabst Blue Ribbon bender. Next time, could we save a little room in the budget for a professional? Hell, I can save you a couple hundred right away: I noticed Arbonne Rejuvenating Cream in the presenters' gift bags. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't 50% of our presenters dead and/or made of cloth? No disrespect to the Arbonne people, but the stuff ain't THAT good.
7. I'll say it once more for good measure: I enjoyed the entire presentation tremendously...and found myself deeply moved by the tributes.
As David Lee Roth would say, the C'uties were a stellar production. I didn't think you two could top last year...but you most certainly did. Congratulations Pixi and Spring...you were fabulous.

My thoughts and observations: 1. I'll have to check the Rules to be sure...but shouldn't all performers at least be paid scale? There'd better be a check arriving in the mail very soon. Repeat after me: Participation in the Cuties is its own reward. OK. Once more, with feeling. Now, you're gettin' it. You loved every minute of it! Primary Goal of Cutie Show: Fun! (Whether you want it, or not.) No nominating BtVS alum in any preferential way? This is a good idea. I sure hope this problem never comes up. I guess we've just been lucky, so far. Of what do you speak? Perchance your subtle Scandavian phrasings are too refined for my coarse Mediterranean ears. Thanks, Robber-bobber. This truly was the hardest part, so it's good of you to realize and to mention it. It was especially hard because it required trying to force-fit mention of all the nominees into a natural sounding flow. There was hit, there was miss, there was gnashing of teeth. Music was all brought to you by Pixi. She's a wiz with that stuff. and and LOLOLOLOLOL!!! Yeah. The tributes. It was a privilege to do them. What great ladies we were blessed to know. The Cuties are tons of work, but it's easy to keep going when I remember that in large part, they are being done as a tribute to Patti . . . and now, for Nan as well. As were you, fabulous - with your singing, and your voting. And thanks so much for the feedback. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR MARVELOUS FEEDBACK!!

Tremendous job ladies--simply outstanding. Fun, funny, wonderful graphics, and inspired pairings (I'm already looking forward to next year, as I fully anticipate seeing the two Logans present an award together). I am in awe of the time and effort you put into pulling this off, not to mention incredibly appreciative that you did so. Thank you for all your hard work, and for making this one award show I look forward to.

Ooh, Spring! I meant to ask earlier! Is ther any way you could post a link(s) to any of the places on outside boards, etc. that you mentioned the Cuties on? I think you mentioned TWoP, for example. 'Cuz I'm not always familiar with how they all work and then I could easily find the posts that people are leaving there. I like to read all the different things people say and I figure a lot of people prefer to say them on their own boards, etc. instead of coming here. And I guess that goes for any of you who get comments or responses on your LJ pimping too . . . I'd really appreciate it, for one. Thanks!

We had about 5 comments - all postive, but brief, mostly went like this, "I loved it! Thanks for sharing the link." That board moves really fast with people constantly posting threads - it is very hard to find the thread now. The thread showed over 200 views, so imagine more people saw The Cuties than commented. If there is any LJ pimping being done, I don't know of it and I don't have an LJ. I think Pixi was going to try to pimp a bit on some of the boards she belongs to, but don't know if she got around to it. She's been pretty busy with other stuff. Hopefully, we will get some mention here and there. I don't think The Cuties even been up a week, and it does take people time to notice stuff.

Whew,
I saw the part locked in on the Main Thread and panicked.
I read, I laughed, I chuckled, I told myself to go comment, but I delayed.
So, I'm off to Chicago today and only time to say I loved it and WOW you guys worked HARD and LONG!
More specific comments later, I hope!.
Thank you, thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much.
(At least the music won't play me off.)

And I completely forgot to say this: I thought it was an absolutely wonderful touch to name the "best episode" award after Nan. It was a terrific homage to an unforgettable lady, and you have my thanks for thinking of and implementing the idea.

Yes, what really helps motivate me with The Cuties is that it is an on-going tribute to Patti, and now to Nan, too.

Finally she gets to the comments thread. What? I was writing a paper.... Wonderful, and, as always, my favorite bits are the red carpet treatment. And the secret to the drink tickets is that since no one understands them, you just gotta look sure when you order your seven glasses of wine.
