"Jack should never have called those people" "I couldn't agree more" Why does that make me think that calling the people on the boat was the best thing they could have done? Everybody's unhappy to see the Locke. He's totally like the wacked-out ex from a messy break-up that suddenly shows up at a party, isn't he? **snicker** Brain share! OMG Jorge Garcia was so good and moving and heartbreaking in this ep! DUDE!! ME TOO! I mean, WTF?!

Wow. And what the hell? Good episode, a nonstop can't look away ride. Who are the Oceanic Six - Kate, Jack, Hurley and who? And how did Hurley end up with Kate and Jack? Yes! Who else? Sawyer? Rose? Sayid? Heee! Only, how to avoid it, when the cabin walks up to you? ;D Loved that! I mean, yes, confusing, but cool. **snicker**

Everybody's unhappy to see the Locke. "Already gave it a shot" More of a throw... Woohoo! main body of the refugees! Sans leaders! Well, at least we have shamanic power of Hugo and Locke to help. heh. "Rambo" Hugo taking the hardest job on himself, telling Claire. United in grief for their loved one. And Flash-forward back to the asylum, where Hugo is drawing pictures of the portuguese listening station. AAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT?! WHAT WHAT?!?SO THAT's WHY HE FREAKED! I will, too! Did he sneak out the window? Or did he not? The hell? So, is he revived via CPR, or is he some very tangible ghost? What the hell is going on.. ah. he's a messenger, an angel. Hi, Jack! Empty gun. That explains why he didn't shoot Naomi. ETA: AT Naomi, more.Ah, but the gun did work earlier—he shot at the satellite phone Naomi dropped when Jack tried to reach for it, kicking up dust and causing Jack to flinch.

So, a quick look at what I'm learning as I surf the net for articles about last night's episode: From EW: [regarding the guy who offers Hurley a trip to a 4-star looney bin] "Matthew means ''gift of the Lord.'' By contrast, there's the hellish allusion of ''Abbaddon.'' My trusty TV Watch editor, Tom Conroy, pointed out to me that in the book of Revelation, Abaddon is ''the angel of the abyss'' and even the personification of death." And some very interesting visuals: A close-up look at the person (presumably Charlie) Hurley saw during his interrogation room vision; more specifically, what was on his hand: Yup, that's the same thing Charlie told Hurley later on during their chat at the mental hospital. Note what's depicted on the chalkboard behind Hurley and Mr. Abbaddon: Finally, I've saved the best for last. The Lost boards are buzzing with the belief that Jacob was none other than Christian Shepherd. Based on the profile of the person Hurley saw sitting in the rocking chair in that cabin, I can certainly see why they'd think it: Why did the white sneakers get their own box? Check out Christian's footwear in Jack's vision of him way back in "White Rabbit": And from the front—note the similarities between his tie and the one "Jacob" is wearing: That's what I've got for now. Further updates as other folks find all these little hidden goodies for us...

I love the look at the chalkboard in the mental hospital because I totally missed that.
Jack's Dad? Jacob is Jack's Dad? Seriously? Okay, that is just twisted and weird and why?
Thanks for posting that - I don't read any Lost spec because I do not want to be spoiled so I try to never read anything but safe places. I see they are already spoilerbarring who the rest of the Oceanic Six are and I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW AHEAD OF TIME.
It's all about the ride for me.

Oh, me too—this time around I've been absolutely determined not to read any spoilers. So I have no idea where things are going, or who the other three members of the Oceanic Six might be. But I do like to go to Sledgeweb's site to see what Easter eggs they found in an ep—I think of it as rereading the text for clues I might have missed the first time. I promise, though, that I won't ever post any information or visuals from material that hasn't aired yet—only from episodes we've seen. Ditto any speculation I come across. Fair enough?

Those are some interesting stills and as usual, raise more questions than they answer. Thanks, Sara!

Okay. I just did some quick tinkering with a screencap of the person Hurley sees in the chair, and I think you'll agree with me in thinking it does indeed look like Christian sitting there:

It really does. Now, what in the hell is that all about?

It really does. Now, what in the hell is that all about? Fuck if I know. However, I learned something interesting that might shed some light on this. During the hiatus they released something they called "mobisodes" of Lost that featured snippets of things that happened behind the scenes: the moment when Juliet tells Jack why she's really there, for example. The final one was entirely from Vincent's perspective. You see him nosing around, and then hear someone whistling and calling to him. When Vincent gets to the person, we see it's none other than Christian. Christian calls Vincent closer, pets him, and "I need you to go find my son. He’s over there in that bamboo forest, unconscious. I need you to go wake him up. Ok. Go on." As the dog trots off, Christian adds, "He has work to do." Then we get a replay of the first episode's beginning: Jack's eye opens, he wakes up, sees Vincent, they look at each other for a moment, then Jack gets up and Vincent runs off. Yes, you read that right—Christian actually touches Vincent:

Sara! Thanks for posting the wonderful pictures!
I especially am intrigued by the drawings behind Hurley and, of course, the possibility of Shepherd Sr sitting in Jacob's chair.
Now, does that mean Jack's daddy is Jacob, or that Jacob is manifesting as Jack's daddy, or that Jacob has taken over Jack's daddy's dead body?
Me, I vote for one of the last two. Because I don't think Shepherd Sr had time in his busy life of drinking, doctoring, and fathering to keep jumping back to the island.

Actually, Jacob being Jack's dad makes a lot of sense, since some of us thought he kind of looked like Jack..and Jack's dad does kind of look like him. So...hmm...
