Since we're sharing theories, although I'm with Shan - 'if it's not Kara, then wtf?', I had a sudden flash on who it might be....especially after rewatching the episode today. I think the 12th cylon is Apollo. His whole discussion with his father about Kara being a possible Cylon and mentioning his brother and asking if Adama's what if it was him that returned - would his feelings for him change if he found out that he was a Cylon? Foreshadowing that it might be Apollo? Just a thought. Because I think 'Apollo's arrow' is more of a metaphor for finding earth than the actual arrow that Kara went back to get.Hmmm.... And as we all know, Apollo's "arrow" almost always "points" towards Kara, who says she knows the way to Earth, so if we follow his "arrow" it will lead us to Kara who will lead us to Earth. ;D I have no idea who the 12th model might be. All I know is it's gonna be a hell of a ride finding out. Hee! Great logic! And I agree - the ride is going to be awesome!

So, here's a question. When y'all started talking about who the final Cylon might be, I almost brought up the fact that the producers of BSG have indicated in multiple interviews who the candidates for the final Cylon are or aren't; it's almost been impossible to read about the show without seeing this info, to the point where I thought it was common knowledge. But clearly it's not. However, if folks here did know it would certainly help refine our considerations as to who the FC is, rather than waste time speculating about characters the producers have publicly and overtly ruled out. Thus my question: shall I share this information openly, or put a spoiler tag on it? 'Cause the thing is, once some of us know it'll eventually become obvious to everyone else simply by virtue of who we *don't* guess might be the FC.

On the one hand, it would seem to be common knowledge to fans of the show. But I don't read interviews.

Four live in secret; one will be revealed. Hmm.
So does that mean that the Cylons no longer have a plan?
Teaser
Picking up right where we left off.
Oh yeah, the CIC can hear everything the pilots say.
Adama is *pissed*.
Ooh, raider blood.
Tigh shoots Adama. This is a hallucination, right? And the music's back, whee!
Yep, hallucination.
Tyrol and Anders are also worried about the programming.
Lock in, and do what you're trained to do. Ooh, double speak.
Cool, guns. Have we seen those before?
Noyce elementary school.
Anders call sign is Longshot.
Stare down with the raider. Creepy.
Wait, Anders made the Cylons break off their attack?
This is starting to feel very Babylon 5.

Part I Baltar's own personal harem! Kara's acting like nothing happened. Adama doesn't believe in miracles. Kara thinks its been 6 hours, while it's actually been over 2 months. I get the "I haven't been gone that long" thing, but what happened to all of Kara's existential angst that she was dealing with in Maelstrom. Unless one of them isn't actually Kara. None of the other ships will have Baltar. Interesting. King of Fools. Gaius trying to discuss theology. Six coaching Gaius. Pictures of earth. Kara doesn't know how she got to earth and back. So how is she going to lead the fleet then? It's Kara's ship, except it's brand new. no data on the nav computer. Everbody still thinks that Baltar's Cylon detector didn't work. Cylons walk among us.

Part II Is Baltar turning into Rasputin? Cylon powwow. Roslin seeking advice from Caprica. Caprica was programmed not to think about the Final Five. Who exactly programmed the Cylons then? But Caprica can feel them. So can Athena feel them too? If so why didn't she say anything? Gaeta getting pissed off. So Kara's special destiny is to be Cassandra? Kara's got a feeling about where Earth is. Hmm. Kara's finally gained the confidence in herself only to have everyone else doubt her.

Part III
Reviewing the footage of Kara's death.
Believe my heart or my eyes.
Roslin staying in Adama's quarters. #eyebrows# And Lee's got a little potential step-mom vibe.
Adama offers to reinstate Lee. But Lee decides to stay on his own. Good for him.
Interesting how far apart Adama and Lee are sitting for this conversation.
About what if Zak had come back? Would it matter if he had always been a Cylon?
Baltar prays to God. Interesting.
Baltar confesses his sins. Just when I'm about to write Baltar off...
Oh, thank god, he's gotten rid of the dirty Jesus look.
Calling him Mr. President. So is part of this movement about him being the legitimate leader? Guess not.
Ooh, this guy was there to ambush Baltar.

Part IV
Derrick is better. A miracle?
There's probably a rational explanation for it, though, like maybe he didn't have what they said he had. Hard to say without any further information.
Ooh, what is Kara going to say when she finds out that Anders' been sleeping with Tory?
Wondering if experiments on Caprica had something to do with what happened to Kara.
Now Anders projecting onto Kara. Bet he really wishes that she was so she can share in what he's going through.
Kara says she would shoot him if he was a Cylon. Ouch.
Now Kara's upped the crazy. That's sure to make her case more convincing. And pointing a gun at Roslin even more so.
To be continued. Wait, was that even a full hour? Seems like it went by fast.

OK, my thoughts on who the final Cylon is: Gaeta, Dualla, or Kacey.
ETA: Oh, or it could be Zarek.

Curious that the Final Cylon is in the fleet wasn't triggered with the rest of them.
Also, I'm thinking that the Final Cylon can't be another pilot, because otherwise the raiders would have scanned them before now.

I didn't remember until the twop recaplet reminded me, but the guy who attacked Baltar was part of the "Circle" who were airlocking all those collaborators.
Also, some one else pointed out that Kara's hair is longer than it was before she left, suggesting that she actually was gone for 2 months. Possibly she spent most of that time blacked out.
