I'm not sold on it yet. There's stuff I liked. But it was funny. and then it was funny some more. There were bits of scary too though. I don't know if the balance was off or if I'm just still so much in Torchwood land I'm not quite caught up.
I like what he had to say about Martha, though if he said some of it *to* Martha that would be nice too. I like that bit where he started talking and then there was no one there. Cause he's lonely and off balance that way. Er, not that I like him being lonely, I liked the illustration of it.
I like that Donna isn't a typical character for the genre. I like that she's older, rethinking her life, choosing this stuff on purpose, went alien hunting to find the Doctor. I, erm, kind of want to *thwap* the Doctor though cause Jack tried the same tactic for more than a century so either Donna is very lucky or the Doctor ran away from Jack more times than we knew. Probably meant to be luck though.
I kind of liked the bit at the start where they kept missing each other.
I liked Donna's grandfather and his telescope.
I like that she's thought it through and packed.
I am very greatly relieved that she doesn't fancy him. I mean, I do, but to make it so only people who fancy him get to travel is somewhat of a problem on many levels.
The bit with Rose is interesting setup, but I was quite happy when she fell, and rather *facepalm* at everything after that, so I ain't best pleased with the idea of her back.
