The whole seduction mission plotline is highly entertaining. John Larroquette is great. Word.

OMG, big Mike's management tips just kill me! "They don't fear you. Don't you watch animal planet? Find the wounded gazelle and pounce!" And Chuck trying to be all suave and seduce-y? "She left after 12 seconds." "You're still alive, aren't you? That's a victory." So, did Morgan really sabotage Captain Awesome, or did he actually think those were all Ellie's faves? "Enchanté. And what bands are you into?" And of course we keep getting the back and forth between and Sarah and Chuck. Overhearing her lying about not being interested in him.

"If the hotel room is a rockin', then we're probably having sex." Oh, Chuck! How totally kick-ass! Grab the pendent and off the balcony. Of course, you end up getting kicked off to the ground below, but hey, these things happen. And how cool. Chuck gets to save all of them. Heeeee! Mutiny on the SS Lester. ;D Ah, Roan. So world-weary and jaded. And yet he helps Chuck see that Sarah really does like/love him. Awwwww!

Heeeee!! I loved Chuck giving his televised speech and the guy coming in behind him - his little scream. ;D Awwww! Casey is actually all admiring of Roan! And Chuck got to be a genuine action hero. Heh! New ass man was great. And I loved that Big Mike was all "I ain't new". Holy crap! Bryce Larkin! Damn. Although, I still loved the line about "in several countries, it's known as the . . . Montgomery".

I do not know where the writers will go from here, but I'm impressed that they haven't taken the usual pathway of denying his feelings, denying her feelings, spinning out the UST forever.
Instead, she knows he's in love with her. He knows she has feelings for him. And they've had an honest adult conversation about why, in spite of reciprocal feelings a long-term relationship isn't going to work. So it looks like they've decided against any "fling".
I"m really curious to see how this continues. But I really was quite surprised at their rational laying out of the future.
And, Oh, my gosh, if you have the ep saved go back and rewatch their faces as they stand in front of the door. It was like some kind of acting exercise: go from sad and resigned to all's happy and hunky-dory in 1.5 seconds flat.
I mean, I knew they were going to put on "happy faces" but I was stunned at how quickly and how realistically they did it. Great stuff.

The high quality of the writing and acting in this show is a constant delight. And the look Sara gives Chuck over her shoulder, right at the end of that scene.

Ah, that's right. Bryce came back in the last ep, so of course we're reliving greatest hits from his and Sara's past. "This mission is going to require a real spy." Ouch. I mean, damn, not only is Bryce apparently walking right back into her life just when Chuck and she were goign to see what might be possible, but he's also pushing him out of his position on the team?

OMG, the bullies playing football? Casey should so kick their asses for being mean to the poor Buy More nerds!!
Aww, man. Bryce knows, doesn't he? He knows that Chuck really really likes Sara and wants a real relationship. And he knows that Sara might be feeling something of the same.

Hmmm. Should the "real spies" really be that flamboyant? I mean, play your role, yes. Fit in, yes. But draw every eye? I think not!
Also - there shouldn't have even been a discussion about splitting up once there were two targets - the decoder guy with the chip and the enemy agent (with or without a fellow team mate as a hostage). The fact that Bryce wanted her to come with just means he thinks being all flashy and super-spy action adventure couple with Sara is more important than just doing the job!
Ha! That's my take on it and I'm sticking with it! (It's only coincidence that this viewpoint means more respect for Chuck. ;D )
