Copying my posts from the main thread.
I noticed that NPH as the villian was dressed in white and NF as the hero was dressed in black, which is the opposite of convention, yet consistent with the audience's inclination to sympathize with NPH since he's the protagonist. Interesting.
NPH's gloves look like autoclave gloves or welding gloves which fit with the mad scientist theme. I have no idea about NF's gloves except maybe they're supposed to provide symmetry or something.
And yeah, they definitely look like they had a lot of fun making this.

Starting the show from Dr. Horrible pov puts us as viewers on his side from the get go. Practicing his evil laugh, confessing that he met with a vocal coach to perfect it--you automatically feel for the guy. By the time the scene in the laundromat starts, you can't help but root for him to get the girl.
Nathan is hilarious though. Standing atop the van in his tight t-shirt and nicely fitting cargo pants....uh where was I? Oh yeah! Nathan is hilarious! Smirking and preening, so full of his sense of awesomeness that he doesn't even notice he's pitched the girl into a pile of garbage!
And of course the songs, mustn't forget the songs! I just love the whole thing to bits.

Interesting. Nice catch! And it really does fit with a villain that is pretty much a sweetie and a hero who is basically a jerk. ;D And the boots! Merciful Zeus, the boots! They were having sooooo much fun.

Practicing his evil laugh, confessing that he met with a vocal coach to perfect it--you automatically feel for the guy. By the time the scene in the laundromat starts, you can't help but root for him to get the girl. **nods** Plus, he's such a relative failure at being evil and keeps talking about how his nefarious plans are to make the world better. And then he signs her petition and . . . Yeah. He's rather bad at the evilness so far. ;D He's so wonderfully over the top it's completely gigglworthy!! **goes to the happy cargo pants place** But it's not all over the top, he's doing some lovely subtler bits. Like when he put his hand over his ear, like he was needing help to do the harmony? Heeeee! I'm hugging it to my bosom and keeping it forever.
