Cool Fray connection! I missed that too. I read somewhere that the commentary on the DVD will be a musical. How wild is that? I'm so going to have to buy the DVD. Cool!

Ooh, Felicia Day's got those sleeves that flare out on her green sweater. I love those kinds of sleeves.
Love NF on the paddle boat. Hee!

The huge chair that NPH sits in. Hee!
I liked the music a lot better in the second part.
I love that Doctor Horrible is not a very good villain and Captain Hammer is not a very good hero.
The thing about discovering layers, and there possibly being a third layers was pretty cool.

I'm only into the first song and I'm massively in love with this production! And, NF wearing the gloves while eating? Perfect! He looks so condescending when Felicia Day is singing about the homeless. Hee!

Being up at oh gosh thirty everyday has it's advantages. I got to see part II before the site gets mobbed today. What can I say? OH. WOW. The opening song in part II gave me the shivers. I'll come back and make more comments later when you all have had a chance to see it, that way I'm not giving away any spoilers. I so have to get me this DVD. Hey, Angelique! Have you thought about your Master S'cubie name yet?

From USA Today:
Dr. Horrible' diagnosis: It's a big hit online By Gary Strauss, USA TODAY
Horrible is wonderful on the Internet.
Conceived by Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, a three-part musical miniseries, has become an online sensation since Part 1's release Tuesday. The traffic quickly crashed the server for free-view website drhorrible.com, and iTunes' downloadable version instantly became, at $1.99, the No. 1 video.
The musical stars How I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris as tongue-tied super-villain Horrible, who hopes his freeze-ray gun will gain him standing with the Evil League of Evil and win him the girl of his dreams. Nathan Fillion (Desperate Housewives) co-stars as self-absorbed hero Captain Hammer. Felicia Day's Laundromat girl captures both their hearts.
"I love singing and combining that with portraying a rather heinous character," says Harris.
"We're getting about 1,000 hits per second," says Jed Whedon, who worked on the project with his brothers, Joss and Zack, and his fiancée, Maurissa Tancharoen. "Joss has a lot of crazed fans. A fan leaked the trailer we were preparing for our website. Virally, it spread like wildfire."
Joss Whedon set out on the low-budget project during the writers' strike as a lark and a labor of love — and to show the industry an out-of-the-box project could find an audience. But the overwhelming response has caught him by surprise.
"We had this home-baked idea that we love and we're proud of," Whedon says. "We made this on the understanding that we'd never make a dime. But it's blown up beyond our expectations."
Made in under a week and at a cost described as in the low six figures, Whedon may have stumbled onto a commercially viable formula for scripted Web video. "We're hearing from a lot of people. We're giggling that we're being treated like savvy business people," Whedon says.
"There's not a lot of money to be made yet — and you can't throw a lot on it if you have no idea how to get it back," says Harris. "Joss has found a happy medium."
Two more Dr. Horrible episodes will be released Thursday and Saturday. With a revenue sharing agreement with iTunes for all three and business opportunities opening up, Whedon is now considering further webisodes, as well as Broadway and film.
"We love the characters. We've done some cool things, and we think there's more to do with them," says Tancharoen.

Loved Part II. Loved the singing, the character development, the layers, the clearly serious underpinnings, the FUN!
Did I say I loved the duets and harmony? Check.
Cameo appearance with Bad Horse in Part III?

FD's outfit towards the end (yellow skirt, red belt, blue shirt) looks a little bit like Snow White.

And now that I'm thinking about it, the hammer was the logo of the fascists in The Wall. Not sure if there's any connection.

"You look horribly familiar. . ." ;D Still letting it load a lot between clickings so I get a relatively uninterrupted viewing here. I'll watch it for real tonight at home. But, loving this!

The big chair. The Borg regeneration thingy. Hee! I enjoyed the songs in this one. Actually, Captain Hammer is pretty evil himself. Dr. Horrible is such an evil poseur, but he has his opportunity to be the real thing, sadly. I hope he blows it. ;D
