Loved Part II. Loved the singing, the character development, the layers, the clearly serious underpinnings, the FUN! Did I say I loved the duets and harmony? Check. Cameo appearance with Bad Horse in Part III? Bad Horse appearance would be so fun. ;D We must at least get another Bad Horse song, at minimum!

That little unnecessary explanation of what "The Hammer" is? Had me laughing my ass off. ;d Oh my yes. So very much yes. And he did it so deadpan! You can practically see NPH (along with all of us at home) thinking "oh I got that, dude".

The big chair. The Borg regeneration thingy. Hee! I enjoyed the songs in this one. Actually, Captain Hammer is pretty evil himself. Dr. Horrible is such an evil poseur, but he has his opportunity to be the real thing, sadly. I hope he blows it. ;D Yeah, Captain hammer "is" good but has a bad heart. Dr. Horrible "is" evil but has the good heart. So what is good? Your actions or your essence? Exactly! And Dr Horrible wants to do bad things for a good reason. While Captain Hammer does good things (sort of) for bad reasons (to get people to admire him and to sleep with girls).

I loved it when Dr. Horrible signed off his vlog with "Peace" then realized that his mission in life is um, not peace. Hee! Heee! I love those little slips of his. And it nicely matches Act 1, and his sarcastic dissing of sarchasm. ;D

Yeah, Captain hammer "is" good but has a bad heart. Dr. Horrible "is" evil but has the good heart. So was is good? Your actions or your essence? 'Actions speak louder than words.' yes? Huh. I guess the label doesn't matter. What matters is - what did Angel say? '....if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. 'cause that's all there is. What we do, now, today.' So good comes from doing good, and even evil people have their place and you might say 'value' in the grand scheme of things. Nicely put!

I just kept thinking today "Bad Horse says 'neigh'" and it was cracking me up. He's going to appear in the third part, right? Because I so want to see him after being referred to so often. Also, "my penis is the hammer."

Once again Joss is the master. The story, the music, the characters. All fantastic. It was a fun and small project for him, but he still managed, with flair, to create a story that makes you think. About good vs evil, what exactly is evil, and human perception. How often do you walk away from a story sympathizing with the "demon"? Wanting the "hero" to get his face smashed in? I'd go on but the only thing running through my mind right now is "wow". Plus Bad Horse = Hee except for by the time I saw him I didn't want to smile.

Time for the company song!
This has a much larger cast than I was expecting. I'm impressed.
Love how hodge podge Dr. Horrible's lab is. He's got chemistry stuff going on in glassware, MRIs in the background, and then those thingies that the Borg had.

Oh, that's it. OK, then.

Trust Joss to break my heart first thing in the morning... Fun facts to know and tell: David Fury and Marti Noxon were the newscasters, uniting the Mustard Man and Not Wearing Underwear Woman in song at last. Buffyverse writers Doug Petrie and Drew Goddard were in the Evil League of Evil as the guy in glasses with the thing around his jaw and the Thomas Jefferson lookalike, respectively. And Joss' brother Jed, who did the score, orchestration, and shares writing and lyric credits, played a member of the Dark Horse Chorus and was the David Bowie lookalike in the ELoE.

Also, many more sets than I was expecting.
Actually, the cast and crew is a lot bigger in general. It's really impressive that Joss was able to pull this many people together to do this without having any cash upfront.

I think the Act III is my favorite. Well, except for the unfortunate Penny incident. Honestly, I kept expecting this to be a fake-out. I thought surely Joss wouldn't do this again, surely he's just joking with us, making us think he was pulling a Joss, but then have it turn out to be a dream at the last minute or something. Just because Joss owns my heart doesn't give him permission to be so mean to it every. single. time. Sorry. I'm just feeling a bit verklempt right now. And a bit frustrated. Still doesn't keep me from loving DHSAB to tiny bits and pieces. I'm sooo going to be watching this over and over and over again. Brilliant job all around on this.

It's Joss's motif. *shrug* I liked how it started off a comedy and ended up a tragedy. Though people were couply in the middle. I guess that should have been a clue.

Also? Nathan Fillion: The groupies: What was the line . . . " . . . four sweater vests . . . " ? That 'bout killed me. ;D NPH: That man . . . I am frakkin' speechless over the awesomeosity contained inside him. He rocks on levels I never even knew existed. Felicia Day: Her voice literally brought tears to my eyes. Soooo sweet and pretty and clear and crisp. Just lovely. Why is she not a regular on some great show on tv?! I could totally see her rocking a cool, hip sitcom like HIMYM or even something like The Office. Girl's got some acting chops. And great facial expressions. I love how obvious it is that everyone had such a blast making this. It makes me so happy to know that there are still people out there who want to create things just for the joy of being able to create something and to share it with other people. I'm just sad it's over now. And I cannot wait for the dvd.
