Buffy's fear that OZ could have killed astudent during a full moon is compounded when she runs into Angel, violent and feral, during her nightly patrol.

Beauty & the Beasts - Wolf!Oz can distinguish between 'rabbits' and 'rabbis'. Even though sleepy Xander apparently can't. Wolf!Oz has some smarts. Wonder how much? episode just started. back to it.
Giles says 'in my experience, there are two types of monster. The first can be redeemed, or, more importantly, wants to be redeemed. [...] The second is void of humanity, cannot respond to reason... or love.'
Now obviously this refers to Angel, and less obviously to Faith. It looks odd when applied to Oz. But the 'in my experience' part looked interesting to me. I mean, wants to be redeemed, respond to reason or love... who in his experience fits those criteria? No one we've seen, yesno? It could just be he can see the obvious things people would try, is warning her off. But I'm wondering. Has he ever tried? Succeeded? Failed? Who was his monster?
Couple episodes later, Ethan shows up. And so does Ripper. Giles was obviously in the first category Ethan? not so very.
also, I still love 'cold blooded jelly donut'
and "Time's up. Rules change." including the way he says it. Little Oz looking guy gots to love having that something extra, specially after being thrown all over the place. Is like we get all these ways having a bit of beast is bad, and then this one where it is the right time for it.
He bit the other guy a lot. Do you think if he lived he'd be a werewolf steroid case?
And Giles had a close call. Nothing to stop wolf!Oz from biting him, but he still doesn't. Just goes grrr. Hmmm.
Shot in the butt again. Crossbow, now dart gun. Now I'm having visions of him with a target pattern painted on. With points.
Giles doesn't get to be useful. Presumably because this is a girl power thing? He was just as capable of getting the gun, should have been just as good a shot. Instead he was stood in the line of fire, giving orders. Bloody stupid. Too much intellect, not enough beast? Giles doesn't like to let his out for sure.
Faith on the other hand had the gun, in her hands, all ready to use, and still went down to go hand to claw with wolf!Oz. Stupid. The only thing she can do like that is damage a friend. Too much beast, no intellect at all.
Yet another reason why Angel's take on the B/A relationship is different than Buffy's - from his point of view he loved her for more than a hundred years, through all kinds of torture, remembered her name even after he forgot his own (like that guy and 'Lily' in Anne), and she led him back to humanity. Kind of a huge era of his life. For Buffy, couple of months of thinking he was dead, then he comes back again. Veeeeery different. Like the way they have quite different experiences after that day Angel asked to have rewound. So Angel ends up all 'ours is a forever love' and Buffy... is cookie dough, so who knows.
It's just that you never really know what's going on inside somebody. Do you? I mean, you think... if you care about them... But you never really do.
especially if they are lying a lot. Scott says he doesn't lie. blotching issues. and yet later we are told he went around saying Buffy was gay. not so much truthful. Although he did know here in the year of Faith, so one can see where the wires might get crossed...
