Have I mentioned how much I'm loving the new interns and the amount of focus we get on them?
Also - it was cool to have an ep really focus on Turk and Elliot, with the reminiscing about when they were young and clueless and making fun of JD and all.
The HIV-y dance? Classic! ;D
Kind of shocked to hear Elliot's final thoughts, and yet not. She's always been one to hold on to the bad . . .

I'm totally cool with leaving a job that kills your spirit - that's as it should be. What bothers me is that her first notion of "getting out of the job" focuses on "getting married and having kids" and "not needing the money". So, she hopes to get out of her soul-killing job by marrying rich and procreating? Taking the Mommy Track. Now, obviously, I have no issues with mommydom, nor with stay-at-home mommydom...but it is NOT a way out of a bad career choice. If she doesn't want to be a doctor, she ought to choose to be something else, not just wait around for SOMEONE else to save her. Meh.

That being said, I'm not entirely sure that it was clear that she would not work outside the home, just that she would not be a doctor.

Okay, because Daddy told her to be. But I've always thought that the point of Elliot was that she was maturing into someone who didn't need/want Daddy's money, that she was supposed to be realizing what it means to be an independent woman, and gaining confidence in her own abilities. I felt like that last two minutes just trashed years of character development.

It could be a moment of feeling overwhelmed with it all...and in some ways I think that argument could be made, particularly with the lingering shot of the full moon at the end; it's just the craziness and unhappiness of a full-moon night at the hospital. If this is the last season, though, and it ends with Elliot leaving medicine to marry JD or something, then yes, I would agree that it totally trashed her development.

On a less serious note? I love The Todd's high-five embargo. There should be way more of The Todd. And that's now two Braff-free episodes and it's only episode 13. What gives?

Yeah, I'm not totally fond of it, and they've bounced Elliot back and forth over the years about not really being interested in kids and then really wanting them, etc. so that part is also not even very consistant. On the other hand, looking for the bad, putting more stress on herself than is really needed, and sometimes just geting paralysed and wanting to give up (but then not doing that) is pretty consistant for her.

Janitor brain trust! OMG, Lloyd died? No, faked his death. Well, that was only to be expected, I suppose. "I heard at night the octopuses come out onto land and drag people up into trees and rip their faces off with their powerful suction cups." Brady Bunch tiki's purchased on the interweb! And I gotta say, I thought Carla looked nummy in her shorts and suit.

You know, I've gone back and forth on whether I like the meta in this show or not, but this episode really put it back in the yes column. Greg Brady as the e-bay seller? The upstairs/downstairs debate? And the whole meta bit about a show in its later seasons boosting ratings by going on some crazy trip worked perfectly here because they never explicitly acknowledged it. Can't wait for part 2!

Sean and Kim?! Oh. Em. Gee. ;D It would awesome if Turk became Chief of Surgery. Heh! "What was that middle one?" "Laproscopic?" Heeee! Scuba-diver helmut. "Hello. You need a new colon." The whole weiner-cousins riff? I'm dying! ;D Stories about unicorns. Continuity for the win!

So, wow.
Is it really over? I've just watched the last three episodes...
I know there's been talk about bringing it back with a focus on the interns, but I think it would be nice to end it here. I mean, it's always really been JD's story...hence each title starting with "My."

Nice imagery for the "life moving so fast". Elliot's fantasy - heeeeee! Takes a left turn and ends up with a killing spree. ;D Ha!! Janitor mentoring the kid. The "anger-baby". "Does he have a pet? Could that pet be convinced to betray him? Would you be willing to get plastic surgery to further your goals? Would you change the location of your eyes? To here? That's the level of committment I'm looking for. Or maybe I'm just wasting my time." Backflip! Awwww. JD and Turk. **pouts sadly** They weren't even separated on Turk's honeymoon!! Awwwww! And the Todd's seeing a nice couple! Ted and the gooch movin' in?! Janitor is right. Change begets change. "You will look at my huff walk!!" "No!!" Guys, guys! Don't fight!! The burning betrayal stare!! (With perky dance.) Heee! Ted picturing himself having sex?! Heeeeeeeeeeeee! ;D Whoa! Janitor losing control? Sign of the apocalypse!! Oooooooooooohhhhhhh!! Dr Cox is freaking because JD is leaving!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!! I'm as excited as JD would be if he knew!! But JD and Turk? And now it's time to watch the season finale and JD leaving. **braces self**

Awww. Remembering his first day . . . This ep is gonna totally make me all nostalgic, isn't it? Continuity win for mention of Elliot's brother Barry. Bob Kelso leaving too?! Whoa! Eeeeagle!! ;D Heee! Carla and Elliot grinding in front of Turk and JD? A RANT BOOK! With ranking based on emotional damage!! Sweet. And, of course, Hugh Jackman. "You a new doctor?" "Actually, it's my last day." "Yeah, that makes sense." ;D "That might have seemed a little girly, even for me." "Mmmm, not really." "You know Jo, I'm not really taking comments right now!!" Taking the reins? OMG! Oh, man. Huntingtons? Talk about a big choice for the serious storyline. Heh! Sitcom finale. We're all gonna die! Oh, Dr Cox. Crushing JD's soul one more time. How very appropriate. Carla!! I love you!! "Has Perry told you how he feels about you yet?" "No, and he says he's not going to." "Well, just wait him out. You'll beat him in the end." "Un! Let it arrive. Acceptable!" Bambi. Awwww. (Now I'm getting sniffly.) "Tell me my husband loves me more than you." "It's about the same." "I'll take it." Janitor and Jo play-acting? Heeee! Continuity kiss from Jordan sends Ted back into his broken record place. Ha! ;D "Ted! Come here! I need to be horrible to someone!" "I'm super sensitive about my skin today. Focus on that!" ;D So, are either of those names actually the Janitor's name?! Because the creator said we'd know it was the final ep when we learned the Janitor's name! Sunny. Hmmmm. You are being uncharacteristically un-perky. I think you're trying to get Dr Cox to admit what he thinks about JD! Awwww! Hugsies!! "You realize that even though he gets to leave, you . . . have to stay." "I didn't think that out." "No. Ya didn't." Final voice over summary? Oh, here's where everyone shows up!!!!!!!!! Patients!!!!!! Laverne!!!! Mickhead saying "I didn't kill her"! All the past interns, including Leonard the security guard with the giant fro and Gloria!!!! Snoop Dog Attending!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeee!! Hooch is crazy!!!!!!! Awwwwww. And then the sentimental side that scrubs is never afraid to show. The movies on the sheet. And the final song. **waves hand in front of face** I'm actually verklempt. Seriously. I say that sometimes, when I'm really not. But this time I am. And Zach B has tears in his eyes too, doesn't he? **sniffles** Oh! Oh! Out takes!! Yay!! Now I'm smiling and crying and giggling. Heee! Makes a monkey face. ;D

But without the core of JD to swirl around . . . But at the same time, I love all the rest of them too.
