I lvoe the Angel/Riley interaction. The fight was good and the look on Angel's face as Buffy tells Riley she needs to talk to Angel is priceless.

I was just watching this from FX's broadcast last week. Also love when Riley is all "he's not bad/that's a good day" and "even when he's good he's all Mister . . Billowy Coat King of Pain". ;D Plus, watching how easily Spike manipulates them all so easily is much fun. Really, it's just knowing which buttons to push. He is totally right that they do all the work for him.

A couple of things I noticed during this rewatch that I don't think has been mentioned before.
*There's been a lot of discussion about Spike as the titular Yoko Factor to the Scoobies, but Buffy can also be seen as a Yoko Factor for The Initiative. Forrest specifically blames her in this episode for The Initiative falling apart, when in reality, they had set themselves up for disaster; Buffy just happened to be there. So that would be yet another parallel between Buffy and Spike here.
*The flame in a jar speech that Adam gives Spike could very well apply to that desire to do evil as much as it could apply to the tiny bit of goodness in Spike. Flame burns/destroys, but also provides light (and light usually ~ goodness). And actually, it sounds kind of similar to what Drusilla said to him right before she turned him. So what is going on in Spike's subconsciousness during that speech? Hmm...
*Riley asks that if Buffy is going to break his heart he wants her do it quickly. He's not fan of long ugly deteriorating relationships. Which I think explains why he gave Buffy the ultimatum in Into The Woods
