I don't have to go to college tomorrow Except I kind of do, because even though there's no class there is a library as could prove useful But I mostly don't, cause I'm going in to Norwich on Friday again anyway, and could go then This would all be simpler if I could move to Norwich Ah well. Eventually I will get the exactly perfectly place to live. I mean the place I live now is exactly where I wanted with the wallpaper I wanted without the money I didn't have, so that worked out pretty good for a whole bunch of years. I watched Moonlight. It is very much worse than Angel. It's not just that it's not as well written, it is that it has that thing where the vampire is a stalker and murdered his last long term relationship but hey, he makes her feel safe! And rescues her! And she forgives him and loves him! And doesn't mind that he kept it all secret! And of course he'd never hurt her! Except for the thing where he's hurting everyone else in view. On Angel we could see that Angel solved his problems with violence, expressed his feelings with violence, and sometimes nearly killed his friends too, because he had an imperfect safety switch. Not just the soul/less thing either, just that he was like that. And his friends remembered it and watched out for it. You never got that destructive thing where the path to personal freedom was to find a violent man and hide behind him. I'm really sick of shows full of damsels in distress.

Me, I am a wuss, and can't watch Supernatural for lack of tolerating bloodshed and exploding angels, et'c. So at least you have honorable and grown-up reasons to resist it. Julia, a west coast person who used to get up early, before the rest of my family stopped going to bed at all, apparently Heh, well, I gave up any pretence of resistance mid-s3. I can still complain! *dramatic pose* 'Vril, who never sleeps (except when the daystar is up) and who corrects spelling and spacing mistakes when she quotes posts, apparently, for fear of little red squiggly lines. Go figure.

Okay. I like her already. Can we keep her? ....if we don't manage to creep her out and scare her off, that is? *laughs* Oh, honey, y'all will have to put in a bit more effort to make me even think about being scared off. Trust me - in some corners of the forsaken wasteland of LiveJournal, my friends and I are considered to be highly insane. In that "oh, look, they're nutters, but they're generally friendly, but the intensity of their quirks and oddities makes me strangely ambivalent* about getting to know them" way. *please note that I'm going by the proper definition of having contradictory emotions, not what a lot of people seem to think about it meaning something like apathetic. Or maybe just the people I've met. ...I really need to just not talk sometimes. XD We have Presence on Live Journal: I'm julia_here, and my fannish presence is in comments on other people's journals, largely SGA and Due South at the mo; my personal journal is full of photos. Julia, my friendslist encompasses some of the oldest death feuds in Buffydom.

AUGH Don't get me started on Moonlight. I only watched about 5 episodes before I threw my hands up and said "Angel did it better and Forever Knight did it first, so just STOP TRYING!" and went to go watch Sophia Myles in Doctor Who to remind me that she's better than she came across in Moonlight. Though I had a good laugh with AJ during the first couple of episodes, if only because we felt like we were watching a Twilight fan's remake of the basic plot of s1 Angel. Nothing against Twilight fans per se, but I can't stand that series for multiple reasons.

Also I have a raging case of Ready, Go, Set! which makes my edits happen postposting (this phenomenon is most annoying over in Reading Recs where I screw up links in various ways and sometimes don't correct them for months; if found, please PM). Julia, imperfect at best, and almost always hideously sleep deprived and spacy

^_^ Thank you! I'm hoping to actually stick around, as I am notoriously bad at remembering when I've registered on forums, and then don't come 'round for another, oh, six months, and thus never really find it very fulfilling to be there and then don't come back for round three. ...that sentence got away from me a bit. Okay. I like her already. Can we keep her? ....if we don't manage to creep her out and scare her off, that is? Well, Matthew, if neither of US scared her away she's probably here to stay.

So, aside from your utility in oxygen transfer, why are you and yours pulling up stakes and moving from the lower left to the upper right? (he inquired quite nosily) Arizona is just as miserable as it was when I was growing up, the heat has made it nearly impossible for AJ (the wifey-poo) to stand up without getting dizzy, and... well, we just sorta hate big spread-out places. We're both City girls at heart (and by "City", I mean "New York City" - it's the only city that gets a capital.) and we know people up in Ithaca and it's not TOO horrifically far away from Home, so... up we go, with our cliché lesbian u-haul, and our Master-turned-auto (I named my jeep Koschei. He is, predictably, a fickle bitch. But I love him.) full of animal goodness. I'm also overly fond of parenthetical asides, if no one had caught that yet. Which leads to the next nosy question, which I'll pester you with some other day, I'm sure, which would be how you and wifey-poo got stranded in Dry Place in the first place. But I digress. I would think that Koschei would be a good name for a vehicle, if only for the title that goes with the name: encouragement, if you will. Provided you keep all Time Lord technology upgrades away from him. What fuzzy ones do y'all have? I am possessed of a cat named Charlotte Corday, who is both a sweet companion and determined to murder me.

You're perfect for our experiments. *gets out vaccu-exsanguination kit, polishes needles. * *hums to self about narwhals* *bolts into action rounding up all the narwhals and hurrying them to the Animal Section of the Three Year Old Corner* *moves the singing pygmy giraffes to the enclosure on the left to make room* *catches one escaped goat and puts it back in goat enclosure* *puts narwhals in enclosure formerly occupied by singing pygmy giraffes* *smiles with satisfaction* *turns to go failing to see tiger tail in path of feet* *falls on face* *decides this is a good thing since tiger is right there* *settles in for nap*

keyboards for resisting coffee: Bendi boards. They're light up, bendable, roll in a tubeable, and "practically indestructible waterproof keyboards, which can be washed." According to reviews the only thing they've not got sorted is the easy typing part. ... which you'd think was key...
Is a bit sad though. Wants glowy indestructible keys!

I am possessed of a cat named Charlotte Corday, who is both a sweet companion and determined to murder me. A plot to be near a very dear and close friend of ours, that only worked until just recently, when we all decided for various monetary and health reasons to jump ship. Alas, it was not to be. T_T Yeah, Kosch is a wonderfully well-behaved boy for me, but he seems to have it out for AJ. Of course, AJ is sort of the Doctor incarnate in female form, when she's not being a neurotic Sorkin character (somehow, she is both the Doctor and the bastard child of Dana Whitaker, CJ Cregg, and Matt Albie). Ergo, Koschei is not inclined to be well-behaved when she's around. I have a horrible habit of giving my technology (and pets) names that guarantee they will act up horribly. Ah, the fuzzies. Well, first is a Maine Coon mix named Simba, who was AJ's before I met her. He's a bit pompous sometimes, but a sweetie. Then is our dog, a german shepard mix of some sort who is hyperness incarnate. We call her Ace, but her proper name is Loreana (which is the name of AJ's Doctor's Daemon a la His Dark Materials) and it shows in her personality, the little brat. I love her. AND THEN my insane crazy kitten. Michaelcat, whose full name is Faithful Wednesday Michaelcat Koscheli Rodrigo Loki Tybalt Atreyu Byron Cavanaugh. Yes, you may ask about that if you REALLY want to know. XD

Also, if anyone was interested, Karen is now my favourite, as she provides me with pretty pictures of sexy Slayers/Actives. Mmmm, Eliza. Edit: To conserve space and not be all posty-spam-happy, I'll mention here that I've got to go be a grownup for a few hours *whinewhinewhine* so I will see you lot LATER. No, really. I'm leaving the tab open so all's I have to do is refresh! *is smrt*
