I'm just sad he hasn't continued on that. It's actually an excellent history book.

Okay, if this NCIS West Coast whateverthehell it is actually makes it, it will be because Linda Hunt has dragged it along on her short powerful little shoulders. The only time the show was in color was when she was on the screen. I don't watch NCIS, but I heart Linda Hunt.

I think another book came out not too long ago, the Cartoon History of the Modern World, I think? **goes to look on bookshelves** Yes - it came out in 2007. Goes from Columbus to the U.S. Constitution. Is he not doing any more? I have the big novels, but I also like to get out my old original individual comic books (I've got, like, the first 7, I think) sometimes. I haven't managed to read any of his Cartoon guides to various science topics (like genetics and physics and chemistry), though. Have you seen any of them? I'll bet they're just as awesome and funny. ;D

Alyson Hannigan is on Letterman tonight. (I think, unless it was something I saw on my DVR from a different night).
But I think the ad was on during NCIS, so that would be tonight.
Ah, Ziva.

Ah, Ziva.Yeah, she was killing me in this episode. Especially during her second conversation with Gibbs down in his basement.

Meh. I'm all askew with NCIS eps. I can hardly keep up with new everythings. OTOH, I'd trade all kinds of ep-behind-ness for not having just been attacked AGAIN by the lid to the washing machine. Because I bruise easily and a black eye isn't the kind of thing you really want to have to explain to a bunch of guys like the ones I work with. Or maybe it is...

I've got a query for y'all, particularly the c'rafty s'cubies: I've got a timex watch that I had been keeping only for fancy dress occasions, and I pulled it out to use for taking pulse rates, respiration rates, etc. I put it in my medial bag which turned out to be a mistake because the glass covering the face broke. Now, I picked out the glass and threw it away, so the watch is still working, but there's nothing to protect the hands from getting damaged. I'm at a loss to figure out a way to fix it so that the face is protected and readable but still looks professional. Thoughts? Google watch crystals. Here's one site I found: www.crystalfit.com/There were others. Somebody ought to have one for you.

DCVIII as of July 24. OK. DCVIII, I believe is 608 years old! I knew it! You're not human, are you? I have to take part of the blame, because I said DX was 60, when really it is 510. LX is 60. Which would make me LXI. Looks better that way somehow. And yes, I'm old too.

Are there still shrimp? And is it Tuesday, rather than perpetually Wednesday? Wednesday yesterday and Wednesday tomorrow, but never Wednesday today... what a sad thought. Nah. It's always Wednesday in Erinland.

How well I remember. I don't know what it is with MILs that they have this sense of entitlement. Mine rearranged my kitchen then waited until I was asleep and rearranged the living room and the nursery. My then-husband was no help. He thought it was hysterically funny and asked me if I thought she was going to rearrange the baby. After that I slept with the baby until she went home. At that I did better than my friend across the way who had a baby the same time I did. Her evil MIL came before the birth and while my friend was recuperating from her C-section her MIL (in addition to the usual rearrangements) had the house painted and changed all the wallpaper. She was so pleased with herself and her "gift" and was offended when my friend (whose taste ran to modern) was less than enthusiastic over the Early American redesign of her home. OMG! What cheek, eh? Cheek nothing! It was the whole behind. EMIL had the affrontry to come over to MY house to pour her heartache over her ungrateful DIL into my MIL's ear while they thought I was napping. Their own fault. Between them their voices raised noise polllution alerts across three counties. I might as well have tried to nap through an air raid drill (of which we had plenty since the then-husband was in the USAF and we were on a SAC base.)
