Okay, if this NCIS West Coast whateverthehell it is actually makes it, it will be because Linda Hunt has dragged it along on her short powerful little shoulders. The only time the show was in color was when she was on the screen. I don't watch NCIS, but I heart Linda Hunt. I heart Linda Hunt too, but I expect the resemblence to Edna Mode was NOT accidental any more than Edna's resemblence to all-time great costume designer Edith Head was mere happenstance.

I heart Linda Hunt too, but I expect the resemblence to Edna Mode was NOT accidental any more than Edna's resemblence to all-time great costume designer Edith Head was mere happenstance. From Edna's Wikipedia entry:Some believe that the character Edna Mode is based on real-life fashion designer Edith Head and possibly Mary Quant. Or she may be based on the real-life fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Her name refers to EMode—a small piece of custom-designed software used by Pixar (not related to other similarly-named software). Calling the character "Mode" is also certainly a pun on the French and German word for "fashion". Also, her hairstyle, personality, and appearance at European fashion shows may be a vague connection to Vogue super-editor and fashion force Anna Wintour.
Others believe that this character may be based on costume designer Una Jones, who shares not only physical appearance with the character, but also personality. Jones is also the acquaintance of many Pixar staff, as she lives near Orlando, in central Florida.
Edna's hairstyle, ultra-diminutive stature, and facial features also resemble actress Linda Hunt's fashion editor character Regina Krumm, in Robert Altman's 1994 film Prêt-à-Porter as well as actress Linda Hunt herself, in fact. Her catchphrase of "dahling" may be a reference to actress Tallulah Bankhead.

Meh. I'm all askew with NCIS eps. I can hardly keep up with new everythings. OTOH, I'd trade all kinds of ep-behind-ness for not having just been attacked AGAIN by the lid to the washing machine. Because I bruise easily and a black eye isn't the kind of thing you really want to have to explain to a bunch of guys like the ones I work with. Or maybe it is... You may find NCIS on "On Demand" -- if you have that. I"m sure they are elsewhere online. So: you, I, Spring and Sara are all big NCIS fans. Anybody else?

Even people who don't 'ship Dean/Cas are seeing the 'shippiness of them: Dean/Cas on Fandom SecretsI like the phrase someone used in regards to the writers trying to top each other with the subtext: "subtext armsrace." ;D

Headed out again tomorrow morning. Fifth trip in 5 months. Will be glad to see girls. We also be glad not to go anywhere in the next few months. Of course, then we are into the holidays and basketball season so life stays interesting and busy.
I'll be back from Chicago next Tuesday.

I am STILL drowning in writing but getting close to daylight. I still have barely started the Tuesday script and the Wednesday one needs tons of editing but I'm slowly getting there.
Slowly.
So hi and I'm gonna flop for a moment and then back to the trenches.
