Caprica Pilot Parts 1 and 2
I am a huge fan of prequels, so this show hooked me before even starting. ;D
Very intriguing take on Frankenstein/Pygmalion.
Again with the deep thinking about grief, prejudice, cycles of violence, religion, hedonism, wealth and power.
Interesting exploration of the creepy; the death/sex club for teens, Polly Walker's character (though maybe that's because I keep remembering her from Rome), Eric Stoltz's character's very unhealthy obsession with his dead daughter.
After hearing so much about how great grandpa adama was and how for the most part the Adamas on Battlestar Galactica stuck to the straight and narrow, I find it interesting to learn that Grandpa Adama actually had a very shady past. (Prequel love!)
I'm interested to see where the monotheistic cult subplot goes.

Caprica 1.3 Rebirth
Love the credits. And Bear McCreary's music (though that goes without saying)
Adding a bit of Metamorphosis on top of Frankenstein and Pygmalion. I really like the cutting back and forth between RobotZoe and AvatarZoe.
Zoe's predicament as the instigator of the Cylons' Rebellion. Very interesting. Bit of a Planet of the Apes theme. And adds meaning to the "humanity's children are returning home" line from BSG.
Depiction of group marriage, in a matter of fact way. Interesting.
Now I find myself wanting to read up on the infinity symbol.

1.4 The Reins of a Waterfall
Great title, this one.
Of course, Zoe being a monotheist is the reason the cylons in BSG are monotheists, duh.
I love the loyal friend character. And the cast in general is tying together all my favorite actors from all over genre tv.
Polly Walker is wants the Zoe avatar for the same reason Zoe wanted it? But ZoeAvatar is hiding because she doesn't trust Polly Walker. So is that being counter productive or self protective?
Thoughts on y'all's thoughts:
I'm explaining the hair issue that Zoe's real hair is actually lighter, but she died it black in teenage rebellion.
Love the moniker Zoelon. Heh.
Intriguing idea about Six and Baltar apparitions actually being avatars.

1.6 There is another sky
The VR stuff is starting to lose me.
Artificial sentience...Interesting contradiction in terms.
I can't remember, was the depiction of ethnic conflict on BSG involve Tauron or another colony?
The Tauron funeral ritual was really neat.

1.5 Grave dancing
Another great title.
Don't really care for this comedian, but I like the concept of this comedy talk show who everybody gets their new from, a la The Daily Show.

1.7 know thy enemy
James Marsters!
"My dream is to destroy your dream." And the intrigue keeps building. The show is doing a great job of building a bunch plotlines and weaving them together.

1.8 Imperfections of Memory
The music during the credits is great. Mixture of lyrical operatic with militant snare drum beat underneath.
The writing really zings in this episode. "An infinite variety of tree-like trees." "I work with top secret military robots." "That is really hot!"
"should jealous?" "I'm not sure."
This show is making me want to visit Vancouver again more than ever.
The "all this has happened before and will happen again" line!
The dog recognizes Zoe! And then Eric Stoltz does too!!!

1.9 Ghosts in the Machine
OK, they got me interested in the VR world again. "You stay in the game, it changes you." Love this transvestite MC character too.
Eric Stoltz absolutely killed it in his scenes with ZoeRobot.

1.10 End of the Line
Wow. That was mind blowing in the end, but I'm still not entirely sure what happened. But still definitely an upping the stakes moment.
The image of the robot driving the van cracks me up.

1.11 Unvanquished.
We see Gemenon for the first time. Do they all have these medieval type clothes or just this monotheistic cult?
Religion without faith. Interesting...very interesting...
Eternal life made made literal. Both secular and religious motivations. Hmm...
love the shot of Daniel and the wine bottle.
Irony of the monotheistic cult being based on *Gemenon*
I don't know what to make of this Mother Superior.

1.12 Retribution
Oh, OK. Amanda did jump but survived and Clarice is helping nurse her back to health? Amanda's plot is kind of losing me right now. Or...is this jumping around in time? I'm confused.
Caprica uses the same days of the week as we do. I'm actually kind of disappointed in that.
History will absolve me. So...God is History?
Also, you are one bad motherfucker, Clarice.

1.13 The Things We Lock Away
Tamara has gone very Tauron apparently.
Lacey actually does have parents. I was wondering about that. And I fear for her at this STO training camp.
Daniel keeps digging himself in deeper and deeper.
And I guess this episode nixes my Zoe dyed her hair in teenage rebellion theory.

1.14 False Labor
Daniel is trying to bring his wife back from the dead...even though she's still alive.
Methos is part of the Soldiers of the One!!! Ooh!
The Tauron Mafia have cylons now! This is going to quickly spin out of control.

1.15 Blowback The AmandaAvatar becoming sentient? Still spinning out of control. All of the teen age characters have become militarized now. And the Soldiers of the One have Cylons too!!! Methos is Apotheosis? Or Bald Agent is?

1.16 Dirt Eaters
Tauron culture and history is very interesting. Being part of the soil
I wonder how much of this news footage is authentic to our world.
Love these 2 husbands of Clarice.
Is it sad or amusing the Serge seems to be Daniel's best friend?
Zoe and Tamara learn to Tune!
