Morning Scubies. Well yesterday ended up being sort of sucktastic. On my way to the theater I was in a car accident. It wasn't bad, a driver rear-ended me and I wasn't hurt or anything. But I am sick (the zicam didn't work this time) and class was wild and rowdy though the show is going to be fantastic. I just feel really tired and drained and just a long day yesterday with cutting my hand in the file room, sick, car accident, rowdy class . . . . . and then I have a diva mom in this group. I messed up calling her kid Chase when his name is Chance and the mother launched into this whole long His name is Chance because we took a chance on him, his brother's name is lucky because he was . . . .um I can't remember and his other brother's name is Tye since he broke the tie. Gah. And more gah. Then she yelled at one of my little actors because he was rolling around. I yell at my students - not parents. I had to nicely tell her this. Thank God her son is amazing and talented. But I repeat Gah. Thank God it's Winchester Day. I need me some Cas. Oh, dear. Much sympathy.

And the beat goes on: Franklin was given a new BP med two days ago; he woke up today dizzy and nauseated and the machine says 96/65.
Julia, oy

Casting "spoiler" for Bones They've hired Rena Sofa to play a love (well, dating) interest for Booth? 1. I thought his feelings for Brennan were becoming fairly clear, at least to him. 2. Isn't she being set up to be a love interest for Mark Harmon on NCIS? I don't dislike her but I also don't think she is "all that" and honestly wish that in both cases they'd gone with someone less instantly recognizable as ... herself. But it is especially disconcerting to find her (potentially) wooing 2 different guys at the same time.

Especially since a whole lot of his current set of problems are worsened by, if not caused by, physical inactivity. Julia, and he missed a counselling appointment because he was too dizzy to drive.

Don't watch Bones, so won't be having that "at the same time" experience, but I gotta say, I don't find her instantly recognizable at all. I didn't know her by her name and after googling her and seeing her picture, she only looked vaguely familiar.
I liked that one blonde actress . . . the army colonel or whatever she was, with Gibbs - though, he's such a difficult guy. He'd be really hard to have as a boyfriend. Not sure anyone (except me, of course) would be right for him.

Not sure anyone (except me, of course) would be right for him. I first saw her on a soap, years ago. And then I think she played the senator's wife on Heroes. I just find her to be a very distinctive looking actress. Also, I keep wondering if maybe Mark Harmon had to have shoulder surgery in RL so they wrote that episode of him getting hit by the car in order to provide an excuse for him wearing the shoulder brace/harness for several weeks -- it is very authentic looking (I've seen them on friends) and he seems to be pretty well adjusted to it. I also liked that they brought back that soldier from several seasons back. I think the actor and the character.

Help! I need a movie suggestion.
Having 2 girlfriends over tomorrow for movie night.
Needs to be out on DVD, and not horror.
One has seen "UP" and was not over impressed (odd, I know) even though I really want to see it.
Likewise she hasn't seen Juno but I don't really care to watch it again -- it was okay to my mind but not in the watch it twice category.
Mary Ann enjoys all the Buffy and Firefly and is watching Castle. In fact she offered to bring her DVD of Burn Notice episodes. (I've got to put her onto White Collar.)
But I think June is pickier, although she did enjoy Serenity, I don't think sci-fi is normally her thing.
Any ideas?

If you like Miss Congeniality - with a clutsy Sandra Bullock, you'll like it. The Proposal. www.imdb.com/title/tt1041829/Nick and I laughed out loud a number of times. We're going to watch District 9 this weekend. I've seen it and liked it. The subtext is a bit dark, but the movie was actually entertaining, if you like sci-fi like Enemy Mine or Avatar or Alien Nation.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying to get my script for my Wednesday class done today. And some website things since I need to do another monologue and the boy scout program tomorrow. It's coming along but I'm like the Enterprise when the dilithiam crystals are busted. Limping along on impulse engines. I miss my warp speed. But yes, tonight the couch, me, hot hunters and hot angel. That will totally work. Yikes! Sorry about the fender bender!

Also a good idea. It, and District 9 and The Proposal and 500 Days of Summer (Mary Ann's suggestion) are all on my On Demand menu. We've never bought a movie through On Demand (Jim will only watch the free ones and they are pretty much all dreck---oh my gosh, the 1994 version of Frankenstein with Kenneth Branaugh and Robert DeNiro was a train wreck) for 4.99, so maybe I'll try out that feature. Easier than driving to blockbuster, yes? Do they just add it to your Comcast bill, or is there something I should know ahead of time about activating an account or something?
