Maybe he could be a mentor or role model for Kurt?

Morning! Dang it. I forgot about Parenthood. Sorry about the Facebook corruption. Why don't you block receiving the instant updates from the most annoying? Rachael - sorry about the nasty cold and the huge gas bill. Mine was 3 times larger last month, too, but it was estimated and it was COLD here, so I half expected it. Still - 3 times is a lot. Hopefully yours was an estimation. Scubies: Hi Karen. If I don't comment - I'm evil and bad and not appreciative of the great dancing daughters of the world. Or you know, something like that. So I can't really and honestly it wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the two newbies/crown princesses who post everything they do up to but not yet including bathroom breaks. I vote for evil and bad and not appreciative. The rarer your comments are the more valuable (and prized) they will become when you are moved to comment. That's my take, but them I'm notoriously bad at response commenting.

It's all good advice Sue and Karen but unfortunately, I have to live in this world for now. Sorry for the whining.
I think I just need a vacation. Or something.

Rachael: So sorry Emily's been sick. Maybe this means she'll be a totally cold/flu free toddler...

I am just very ??-brained. Whichever side of the brain it is that makes (usually) males want to "solve" a problem rather than just provide a sounding board. So I offer advice. No problem at all if the advice isn't useful.

The burden of Mom-ness, I tell ya. I was listening to the CD you sent me (the cowbell one) ages ago, while I was doing the dishes last night. Cracked my shit right up.

Well, I finally went and did something for myself - I got my facial hair waxed off. Everything from the nose down is a bit red and tingly, but I am assured that this will pass. Next, remembering to wear earrings and at least a pendant when I go out in public. I comb my hair, I brush my teeth, I make sure my clothes are clean and not too ratty, but anything beyond that usually falls into the "why bother" category. Back to the online class, I guess.

So, Walden Media is in the editing stages of the third Narnia movie, "Dawn Treader." Christianity Today has a story on it, in which my sister is extensively quoted. C.S. Lewis has been a HUGE influence in her life. www.christianitytoday.com/ct/movies/news/2010/willdawntreaderfloat.htmlI'll put the link on the OT thread as well, since it's possible that some discussion of content would belong there, but I think it's an interesting look into the company's PR and marketing and the actual making of the film that is appropriate for general discussion. I've been kept busy this morning by reading the metafilter discussion (which contains links to discussion of the article on the blogosphere) of Why there is no Jewish Narnia. Julia, not that I got up early, mind, not after being awake from 3am until some time well after 5am.

Dear Jon Stewart: Robert Pattinson? Really? Really? Well, the screaming fangirls got me out of the chair and off to bed before 11:30, so there is that. Julia, dumbest interview ever, Jon.

This is an unfortunate fact of Motherhood. If both of you get sick, SHE will recover hours or days sooner than you will and you will have the double pleasure of feeling like crap and having to take care of a helpless infant.

I don't know about building immune response for now and the next two years, but I do know that my kids, who went to preschool at 3, both had much better grade school attendance than Andrew, who didn't get to be around other kids until he was five. So you've got that to look forward to. Julia, probably, anyway
