I just wonder how much say he really has in guest booking. Maybe Pattinson is a bargaining chip; ie, "I'll interview Pattinson if you get me Biden" or something like that. The irony was the Leno booked Palin and Letterman counterprogrammed with Mitt. Maybe The Daily Show looked at those line-ups and said "well, okay then, we'll book a typical Leno/Letterman guest?" Very possible. In terms of Letterman, well, both CBS and Comedy Central are owned by Viacom...maybe it was an Sumner Redstone decision to mix it up a little. (I've been reading a lot of stuff for my revisions about networks and scheduling, etc.)

You guys sure talked a bit today, huh? Rachael/Emily, so sorry to hear you are both under the weather. Liz-Great news! Congratulations! Sorry to hear you are sick, too, Diane. Never read Sassy, Erin. I'm not sure it was even out when I was of the age to have been interested in it. Well, that was the kind of fun that's not. My cousin and I went to my uncle's apartment. You know, the one where he lay dead for a week or so? And, lucky us, the mattress with the decay was still there. *sigh*. Thank God for Vicks Vapo Rub. Made it much more tolerable. Now, to get his body released for cremation. My cousin couldn't positively identify him, due to the bit about being dead and decomposition. So, we wait for x-rays for the medical examiner to identify the body. Lovely. The world's longest funeral preparation, that's what this is turning out to be.

Oh, jeez, Onj...did the scavengers take the mattress out of the dumpster over-night? Because that's what happened when we cleaned Papa R's house in Waco. Julia, bad nightmares for years out of that one...

Julia, bad nightmares for years out of that one... No. It hadn't been removed. You would think a place that is specifically for the elderly, almost an assisted living type arrangement, would have the resources to remove something like this. Like they haven't had this happen before.

Thanks, everyone. It wasn't among my favorite experiences and we can't clean out the bedroom until that mattress is gone because even with Vick's the odor came through. Not going to spend time there until it's mattress-free.

Just as an FYI: my parents are safely home, and I'm sure by now Kaylee is no longer bouncing off the ceiling...
