I hit a milestone? I honestly had no idea. I remember my early days on the site when hitting a milestone was all and I was spastic about it. Hee! Thanks Sara. Thanks Monnie. (Misha - sigh!) Did you all know Jason Dohring is expecting a baby? He's dropped off the map a little though I think he did a CSI this year. I think I'm only capable of one obsession at a time and with Dean/Cas dominating my brain . . . well . . . . . all else falls by the wayside.

I got retweeted on Twitter by someone I've been trying to gain the attention of! Finally, my existence has been validated. I was beginning to think I had no worth..... Oh honey, if I knew that it meant that much to you, I would have retweeted you a long time ago.

I didn't hear about Corey Heim or Jason Dohring. I'm very happy for Jason, but what happened to Corey?

OK, now I have a question for the S'cubie Database. My sister trained her pug to use a pad instead of going outside. Ellie, the pug, has always been a bit high strung and sometimes acts out: instead of using the pad, she might poop right next to the perfectly clean pad, or she might pee in my niece's bed. Things like that. So my sister is hoping that I'll take the dog off of her hands. She is tired of the accidents, and her kids aren't giving the dog any attention.
The back story on that is, whenever my sister's family go on vacation, I watch the dog at my house and because she seems to love the extra attention she gets from me that she doesn't make her "statements." Until recently, that is. Ellie has been with me about a month, and for the past few days she has started the pooping and peeing in the wrong places. I have no idea why she's doing it, and frankly, I don't know how to make her stop. I never catch her in the act, so I don't feel like I can punish her after the fact.
Part of me thinks I should try to train her to go outside, and part of me wants to just give Ellie back to my sister and say "deal with this." But neither choice seems right. Any suggestions?

Color me stunned. Who does Joss' casting? What an eye for talent. and news of Julie Benz: www.tvguide.com/News/Julie-Benz-Joins-1015569.aspx(does she look like herself here?) =========== MTV has stopped showing Buffy reruns. Do all the writers and actors still get residuals from those LOGO airings? The one thing I've heard Joss say (I think on the Serenity commentary) re casting, is that he likes to hire comedians, as he thinks humor takes more range. Thus, he knows he can get a great dramatic performance out of them. Speaking of TV, did you watch the Daily Show tonight? Jon Stewart was PISSED OFF during that interview. Do you think? Given that the guy was defending an indefensible position, he had every right to be. Julia, note: not partisan, since people from both parties are flensing this guy and his friend Liz.

Dead at 38. Accidental overdose is what I'm reading. Oh man. That is very sad. He was always troubled. Sad, sad news. Good news about Julie Benz, tho. She has a lot of make-up on in her photo, which makes her look older, I think. But she still looks amazing. Good for her and Jeremy Renner. His portrayal of Penn in Angel was very good. Which reminds me, we were watching "Homecoming" the other night and Nick (who always kids me that he started watching Buffy just to get points with me) commented that BtVS is better than Castle - and he LOVES Castle. I told him it's Cordelia he's really enamored with. But who can blame him there? I got a chuckle out of this in an email this morning and thought I'd share: PARKING TICKET Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and said, "Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?" He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So my wife called him a sh..-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes.. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote... Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus ... We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired.. It's important at our age. ;D

I had to laugh when the guy told Stewart that the interview was unfair because he (Stewart) kept talking over him.....I mean - what interview was he referring to? I truly don't like people who bend truth like that. It becomes such a habit with them that they delude themselves into believing the falseness they spew. Caught a snippet of it this morning, so I think it's the one you all are referring to.

Part of me thinks I should try to train her to go outside, and part of me wants to just give Ellie back to my sister and say "deal with this." But neither choice seems right. Any suggestions? Have you ever dealt with a challenging dog before? Can you take her to work, or give her her own pet (dog or cat) for company? I wouldn't take on a dog with this set of problems myself, and I love dogs and don't work outside the home: it's going to take a month or two of constant training and reassurance to get past these problems, almost certainly. There are breed rescue groups everywhere; someone in pug rescue will be much better prepared to help this dog. Pugs hate to be alone, and every one I've known in 3D or online (Joe Mallozzi's pugs are a grand example) has been happiest with other dogs in the house and constant attention from humans. Julia, they got trendy for a while, too, which means there's a lot of slightly bent pugs out there from puppy mills.

First - good for you for trying with the poor little discarded pooch. It sounds like she's attention seeking for some reason. Who knows what set her off. You are right that punishing her after the fact would be wrong, but you could take the poop and put it on the mat and explain to her that's where it needs to go. If you are patient and can catch her going on the mat and then give her lots of praise, that might do the trick. Shame on your sister for pawning off her problems on you, btw. My sister used to give me kittens out of the litters her cats had because she didn't get them fixed. I finally put my foot down and said no more to the kittens and she doesn't ask anymore. I would try to train her to go outside. Maybe she would prefer it anyway.

Um, no, if I got retweeted by Misha you would have heard the screaming all the way up there. ;D It's someone who works on the set of SPN. Oh did vancouvernights retweet you? Awesome. I missed all this doing the whole work thing. Bummer. Which one did she retweet. Must have details. And yea if Misha tweeted Monnie - it would be like Hailey's comet. It's where she asked what we all thought Dean would be like with fluffy wings, and I said, "Dean'd be embarrassed & clumsy & adorable w/fluffy wings, knocking things over like a dog w/one of those cones on his head." Why I didn't think to just call it the CONE OF SHAME I'll never know. ;D It's not like I didn't just watch Up recently.

I'm the same way. I can appreciate and enjoy other stuff, but I can only obsess over one thing at a time.
