Welcome to Part 1096 of The Soulful Spike Society Main Thread! We accept all kinds here, even demons. So no need to run off if you are of the evil persuasion. Evil does love company, after all. Unless it decides to just slowly torture and kill off said company (which really can provide lots of warm fuzzies, if we feel the need), in which case, you'd be out of luck.Okay, down to business:
--Like quality fan fiction? Fascinating reviews, essays, and analyses? Then go here asap. We will rock your socks.
--Spoilers are the spawn of a demon that is not welcome in these parts, so if you post one anywhere but in the Spoiled Souls section of the board . . . well, I'll leave it to your imagination what we will do to you. Imagine lots of blood and fleshy bits laying around, and that'll give you an idea. If you aren't sure if it's a spoiler or if you simply must say something on this thread, please to be using the ghosty (see? EVIL) spoiler button up above to protect all of our pure-as-the-driven-yellow-snow, non-spoiled eyes.
--Be nice to each other. That's not so hard, right? Even though quite a few of us may be evil, that's no excuse to be rude or inconsiderate of other people's feelings. Rude people will be exterminated in the most satisfyingly gruesome manner possible. Would you rather I vague it up for you? Tough. I don't do vague.
--Do you like to discuss politics and religion? I'm so happy for you! But you can't do that here. Yeah, you need to go to our Open Topics Forum to get your jollies. Just remember that all of our board rules still apply there (excepting the no-politics-or-religion-zone thingy). And remember: just because someone may have opinions and beliefs that differ from yours, it doesn't mean they aren't adequately and validly evil.
--Have I confused you? Want a refresher on our rules? Then go to our FAQ page, and that should get you up to speed.
--Finally, there's this section called the I Love Love LOVE TV section that's got threads to talk about lots of different current shows on TV. You don't have to take all your jibbering and philosophizing about the shows there, but hey, if no one takes their jibbering there then those threads won't get used and that wouldn't be evil at all, it would just be sad. Poor little threads, just wanting to be all plump and ripe and . . . used.
Have fun getting your evil on![/b][/size]

Just to restate from the last part, in case anyone has some advice...
We mocked up the first draft of our invitations this weekend. I am currently turning my fingers blue trying to do a calligraphy monogram. I am finding it incredibly hard to make the letters A B and J fit together elegantly.
Edited to add: First!

you know, if, when I woke up in the middle of my sleep night, I had immediately got up and gone to the computer and checked the S3, I could have been first. As it was I did things that seemed more reasonable like getting food and drink, and now the chance is gone. ... y'all need to not change parts after I gone to bed, the disturbance in the force is like an alarm clock...

Monnie!
I'm so sorry. I meant to do this part. Really I did. But Mom's teaching a gluten-free cooking class, and the notice was in the paper this morning, and all day long it's been ring ring ring. I finally got a bath and people clothes on at 4.

I was trying go the more traditional route with the emphasis on our last initial. I think I managed to make something that works for both of us. As soon as we get the mock up finished I'll post it for the S'cubies to see.

Yes, I know that traditionally, the middle is biggest, but I like the way the A & J compliment each other . . . it isn't traditional though, true. Oh, and I finally put that finishing touch on your dress design, so now you can start working on it:

Monnie: Thank you for the spacious new part! Love the ferret and the dog. ;D Spring: You are da design bomb! Sorry about your headache, Sara. Hey there, Erin! I'm not good with the calligraphy, Angelique. Diane might have some good suggestions. She's very artistic. Try to get some sleep, Be. Julia.

I can't see the abstract angel design on the old stone without remembering the important role tombstones of that age played in developing ways to study style shift through time. I wish I could go to Vermont to see them in person! Julia, I'm going to be lucky to get to a con in Issaquah next month, even though it's too late to get my eighty bucks back.

I finally got a bath and people clothes on at 4. Don't worry about it, sweetie! I wasn't cursing so much at having to do it, but more that I had no idea what kind of starter to do. It's all good.

Also Sara - love the photos of the gravestones/snowdrops and your comment upon posting the photos of the flowers: After all, what better way to accompany photos of items synonymous with death than with the quintessential symbol of life beginning anew?Very nice. Nick bought a new kick-ass digital camera last week and we're hoping to get out to the park and snap some photos of the eagles before they all fly away for the summer. Scubies: Karen, thawing out.
