Because it amused me (I know it's larger than usual, but it becomes hard to read at a smaller size): A thing of beauty and a joy forever. Julia, Hockey : Edmonton :: Football : Houston

I'm not too interested in going over and looking at the thermometer, but it'ss all frosty-white outdoors and the sky is grey.
Snowed in various not-here-but-close places last night.
Julia, oh, well, it'll slow down the damned prunus leafhoppers.

Here for local flavor direct from their small town newspaper. I didn't link to that particular article for any reason, it's just a link to the paper in general.

ERIN! I just remembered I never responded to your question about whether I was putting my vid on my website. The answer is yes, but I keep forgetting to do it. I'm sensing a theme here . . . . .

Ah, Pueblo; it's a lovely place, from what I remember. I went to a wedding there when I was four, and ended up on the front page of the local newspaper. Apparently, someone took a shot of me staring up at the wedding cake with undisguised longing. Also? I was wicked cute as a kid. Possibly not the info you were looking for. It's about 100,000 people, and, after employing a little google-fu, apparently the renewable energy capital in the region. It's pretty populous for Colorado, which is not exactly crowded. So, not entirely boonies. Small city. But it's a beautiful part of the country, and it's only about 100 miles from Denver, if you need some metro action.

I just realized: by this time next week, I'll be in Wyoming!!!!!!!! How fun! Three days after that I'll be in Florida. So in order to keep up with the Scubies and other vital matters I bought myself an Archos. It's an internet tablet like the iTouch, but with more applications and with Android. Mind you, I do not as yet know what Android is, but I know I want one. Kinda like a tea cosy. So it's charging and I'm going to have to reboot my router so it and my new wireless printer can both talk to my computer and each other, so I'm off to talk to Dehli which is where they keep the technos who know this stuff.

Well, since cold decided to do a return engagement and the weather decided to be very iffy on severe thunderstorms and since my day/night cycle is temporarily disrupted (like I was up all night) the by aforementioned cold, I decided to stay home. I got my errands done between bad weathers and am now resting while Archos charges himself. I hate to say this while all of you are still snowed in, but it's getting hot here. Getting a kick out of checking out post Oscar fashion reaction: tvguide, huffington, fuggirls, and even (accidentally) caught Showbiz tonight while channel surfing and seeing that a number (several) of gowns are simultaneously making both "best" and "worst" lists depending on the site. Let me see: Zoe Saldana and Charlize, even Sandra B (somebody hated her gown -- ), oh, yeah and Sarah Jessica. There were others. Essentially, anything that was even slight off the norm provoked both thumbs up and thumbs down reactions. Didn't see any that were universally panned. Universally praised yes, but even ones that some people hated, other people loved.

Shooting at Ohio State U? A janitor who had been fired killed his supervisor, wounded another supervisor, and killed himself. Students were not involved. A sad situation, and a terrible thing - though I see it as more of a "workplace violence" thing than a "university/school shooting" thing . . . if there's really any differentiation to be made, there.
