Why I Adore Joss Whedon. Dude. Word. I'd add one more: His influence. Take Doctor Who, for instance. You can see Joss' influence all over the Russell T. Davies version; eg "Think of how bad it could be and then add another suitcase of bad." A Jossian line if I've ever heard one. OMG, SOOOoooo nailed it!

I, among others, gave up on watching House because it got pretty routine and boring.
But last night's ep had some interesting promos so I taped it. I found it interesting so if you've been a fan in the past it is worth finding the episode online.
Next week is possibly interesting as well.

<= me, but in a running around slaying of usefuls kinda way. Weird. I'm in creativity-avoidance again; I've been rearranging things in my studio instead of working on one of my many projects. I've even stooped to the doing of actual household chores. I did finish a project yesterday, though. That's gotta count for something. Okay. I found the foam cushion for the office chair seat repair project, in the super secret safe hiding place Himself stashed it, and the piece of heavy black fabric with which to cover it. I'm tired of waiting for Himself to get around to the job, so I'm going to attempt it. I can't do any worse than he would, right? All I have to do is... clear off the kitchen table, find a pair of heavy scissors, cut the foam to the right size, clean up all the foam shreds, wrap the fabric around the foam, cut the fabric to size, hand-sew it securely around the foam and shove the whole bundle inunder the mesh of the chair seat. *Looks at above list of steps towards useful-slayage* *Seriously considers giving up* I can do this. I am HellGoddess. I am strong. I have a nasty sinus headache... whimper... I need tea first. Tea, and maybe a little dark chocolate. PS I could also live without the alternating too-hot too-cold thing, thanks very much. Not quite flashes, but close.

You'd feel right at home around here: one weekend my folks were seeing temps well into the 80s on their thermometer, the next we were getting warnings of possible frost from the area forecasters—all you'd have to do is work it so you're hot when it's cold and vice versa and you'd be all set.

(A) It sounds like the kind of weather we get sometimes - last week went from 80s with howling Santa Anas and humidity in the low teens to rain, hail, thunderstorms and snow in the local mountains, all within less than a week. (B) What I need is a remote control for the climate or something, or maybe just a body temp regulator. And the seat cushion repair kludge is done and installed. Now I wait for the complaints. "What did you do? It feels weird!" No, it's not sagging and you aren't sitting on the metal bolt at the center of the seat anymore.

I'm experiencing another variationof "No good deed goes unpunished:" in this case, I'm weaving another wire and twig fence because this morning Griz ran out the door and peed all over one of my favorite roses.
This project willend some day, right?
Julia, plum suckers aren't as astringent as hazel withes; I'm out of hazel, so that's just as well.

Speaking of baseball... This nearly made me spit tea all over the kitchen table: The letter-perfect logo. I guess if your team isn't doing so well, you have to find other things to love about it. Well, I thought it was funny. [/colbert] As a Mariners fan, I have been perfecting that skill since 1977. Julia, and will, apparently, be working on it again this seasonThe way the Indians have been playing the last few years it helps to be a baseball addict - to ease one through the pain. "will, apparently, be working on it again this season" - as will I! leftylady
