I haven't tried "Royal Pains", but I'm with you on the rest. "Eureka" is back July 9th. "Warehouse 13" returns July 6th. Can you hold out till the fireworks die down? nevermind..... And thanks to both og you; I was in a state of overload after uploading the photos from last Sunday first to photobucket and then to my LJ and was so not up to shuffling through SyFy's ever-morphing site. Julia, the longer you've been using scifi.com the worse it is to navigate now.

Hello, Julia! Thank you. Things are... a work in progress. How have you been? I think the most economical way to put it is "whiny" but, hey, new TV season coming up, with new things to watch, so, YAY! Julia, needing to rocket out the door except for the utter lack of motivation. *nods and smiles* I'm enjoying television at the moment. Sometimes I feel the kind of affection for it that Homer does.

*laughs* Don't be so crude while my monomania and I are snuggling. Aww...it's so sweet! A love for the ages! Well, you're never alone with a clone.

Quiet day on the board! Am really struggling getting ready for Mem Day dedication. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can! Got the photo show together (thanks to all who commented on the Admin thread). Got the artwork framed and photos together for the table displays. The kid did a lot of drawing. His grandma took a lot of pictures. Just finished burning the CD of music Vince liked or that reminds me of him. Also practiced my 6 minute speech. We have a total of 10 minutes, and there is going to be a song. It is all good and pure torture, at the same time. OK! I can do this, I can do this - I will do this. As always, thanks for listening. It is really helpful; I am home alone, and it is nice to have this place.

I worked 7:30am - Noon, then stayed at the clinic so that I could help do the kennel for this evening. We've got about 50 animals boarding with us for the holiday weekend. LOTS of walking dogs and cleaning cages. Plus, it's so humid and muggy and sticky outside, I was sweating buckets the whole time I was walking the doggies. Yuck. How's the rest of your day been? Getting a lot done?

I'm still putting out the major vibes for good weather on Mem Day . . . it's threatening to storm, but maybe not until later in the day. . I am still kinda down. I enjoyed going through the pics and music and framing the art and such . . . but it also caused a bit of a meltdown for awhile today. Mostly, I try to focus on how lucky I was to have such a great kid. A young woman I know recently said to me that when she thought about what I was going through - well, she just didn't know if she ever wanted to have children. The risk of such heartbreak just felt like too much to her. Without hesitation, I responded, "Oh, no! It's not like that. It's not like I'm sorry I had him, or I wouldn't do the whole thing over again, even knowing it had to end the same way. It was worth it, worth it, worth it." So I've been trying to remember that feeling - how it just slipped out of me with such certainty.

I've got a small group of people coming over tomorrow to see Beth's new skin care line. What should I serve as refreshments? I'm gonna go with: Iced tea, coffee, small cookies, and crackers & cheese with some fresh fruit. Sounds about right. Around here you might have "fruit tea" -- which is just iced tea mixed with something like orange or pineapple juice. Fruit could be grapes and strawberries.

Julia, the longer you've been using scifi.com the worse it is to navigate now. I used Futon Critic's summer guide. I think Sara put me on to it. Or Karen. Or maybe both. And their search feature can be handy.
