Congratulations to U.S.A for winning the group. We were runners up (having finally remembered how to play in our match against Slovenia today). So we're both through to the next round! It was a great game, wasn't it? The USA game, that is. I didn't watch the England game because they told us the score during the US game. I managed to go hours without being spoiled on Twitter (a huge feat, let me tell you ) and end up getting spoiled anyways. I was displeased, to put it mildly.

That epic tennis match? Took 11 hours and 5 minutes to play, or 665 minutes. Which means: 1) The match was longer than the entire run of Firefly (651 minutes, including the opening and closing credits and the unaired episode). 2) The match was longer than Christopher Eccleston's entire run as The Doctor on Doctor Who (585 minutes).

Ooooh, they've really improved the capabilities of the little guy! I've seen the footage of their large walking robots, moving through the woods and so on, but this is even more agile. And I love that it learns how to identify good footholds.

But when you have that sort of context to compare it to... yeah, just mind-blowing.

Well, I got the poor palid Maidenhair fern potted on- a rougher process than you'd think, as they grow in rock cracks and the roots were not thrilled at being taken out of the pot- and four other pots planted with live plants.
Which given that I awoke exhausted from dream-work is more than I thought I'd accomplish today.
Julia, forgot something else I need to do, oops, must fly.

Scubie vibes, please.
Allie is on "vaca" (from her non-jobs) [outside on minneapolis] and has a phone interview with another documentary company based in Chicago. Probably more freelance rather than actually being an employee but still ....
