So. I am certainly very glad, after 4.5 hours, to have my electricity back before the food spoils or I have to sleep in a hot house or load Tom's car by candle-light. HOWEVER, after being in the position of accomplishing exactly nothing all afternoon I think it could have waited one more hour, until we had gone OUT to dinner, before turning back on. Ya know? Also, Charisma Carpenter shows up on gofugyourself. Ouch: "she would make a great .... mother." Unless they are talking about a toddler, that's ouchy. She's forty. She played teens for a looooooooooong time. Julia, she looks good, but she looks mom-ish. She looks tanned, healthy and toned. The dress is a disaster, but CC looks wonderful. Okay, she isn't Queen C anymore. Are any of us where we were eight or ten years ago? She can play anywhere from 29 to 45 perfectly well.

Husband rolled in around 2:30 this morning. Cat got me up around 5:20. Fed cats, went back to bed for a bit. Husband got up around 7, called in to work, went back to bed. I got up. I think I got maybe three hours' sleep, in bits and pieces. Laundry, drive daughter to eye exam, hope she can find a bus to get back there to pick up her glasses and not the happy kind either. Anne, whine whine whine I'll STFU and go away now

my laptop computer keeps forgetting all my log ins and making me type them over again. not just when I turn it off or at any logical interval. whenever it feels like it. sometimes in the middle of doing something. of course my desktop computer with firefox has been doing that on LJ for the longest time, but I figured that was LJ being annoying.

Great thing, Angelique- although I have never officially changed my name, and am unlikely to.
Julia, reality does not favor it

tired anne is beyond exhausted. Finished with eye exam in time for Emily to catch her bus for Yorba Linda and me to get an iced tea, drive across Imperial (because I was and am too tired to cross the big street safely) and wait for Brea Bead Works to open. Then I bought all the little bits and pieces I need for some birthday earrings for my cousin and my Bestest Buddy (and yes, for me too : . Yes, I could make my own eyepins (and frequently have) but I don' wanna this time, I'd rather get the projects finished. I'd really like to work on them today, but considering my lack of coordination, I'm not sure it'd be a good idea. I did one little thing - I found some silver, gold, and copper-plated headpins with a 2mm bead on the ends instead of the usual flat pinhead, so I redid the acorn charm (oval bead and beadcap) on one of my charm bracelets as a test of the concept. I added a 2mm bead above the bead cap in hopes it'd make the loop sit better, which it did. Doesn't look half bad either. I also successfully reamed out the hole through one of the oval beads so I can use it with the headpins I bought. I would love to find more of those beads, but since I got them in Blue Moon assortment packets you can't get any more, I'll just have to look for likely substitutes. Fortunately I have just enough left for what I have planned, if I don't drop any of them. Now I shall finish lunch and go fall over, if I can get Patches off my bed. Silly creature, she and her sister think they own the place. Kitty did such a good job with the laundry (after I provided written instructions) that I think I'll just let her finish the job.

Right index finger decided to go into spasm. I have managed to work out the spasm, but the finger still hurts. It's messing up my mousing. On the right. On the right hand. Doesn't it know I'm right-handed? Stupid finger.

Because it amused me, I give you The God-Damn Batman on Twitter: Jersey Shore premieres tonight. You know what else premieres? Me not giving a crap. Changed Robin's ringtone to sound like a 9MM semi-automatic. Good to keep that kid on his toes. It took me years to discipline my body to the peak of physical perfection. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NERDS, YOU ARE TOO FAT TO BE BATMAN. Arkham Asylum is the most disgusting den of filth on the planet, save for one place: the Comic-Con men's restroom. "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" Well, I picked up the 1/8th scale fully articulated Dark Knight figure at the Hasbro booth. Fun Fact: I've had more criminals literally piss themselves with a well-timed lightning strike entrance than virtually any other method. No Robin, I DO NOT consider watching "So You Think You Dance" AGILITY TRAINING. Enjoy watching the World Cup Final. I'll be busy. Blowing the Vuvuzela of JUSTICE in the ear of CRIME. GOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!! You can divide criminals into two basic groups: Those who have never met me and those who wish they still had normal bladder function. Mel, there are healthier ways to deal with rage: Deep breaths. Count to ten. Embed Batarangs in the nerve centers of petty thieves.
