Major neurological spinal surgery on Sept. 13. We need to do the legal stuff you just did, plus re-jigger our financial system (he and I cannot keep a joint account but while he's hospitalized I need to be able to pay bills, et'c) and get me current ID, which means renew my passport (which takes a month minimum on the turnaround) or State Nondriver ID (which is nominally quicker but more hassle since I have no currently valid ID). This has been a problem since my passport lapsed; I can't get a passport photo taken without him driving me there, and he hasn't been doing that. Plus sell some stock- which is in in his name- so we have a buffer for expenses. So having both of us with fever/muscle aches/upper respiratory ick has not been convenient. Julia, oh, well. Julia, 'Oh, well.', indeed! My best thoughts that all goes well on every front and back. FYI - I applied for my passport recently, and non-expedited, received it in 3 weeks. I can't tell you what good news that is. Julia, thanks ever so.

Hey, y'all. Please to vibe for my surgery tomorrow. Supposedly at 7:30 am central. General anesthesia, removing a parathyroid gland. Hopefully I'll be back on here by Tuesday but don't panic if it's longer. If it's longer than a week some of you have my email address I believe and I think Anne has my SIL's email. Not anticipating any problems, but in my worldview one way to prevent issues is by over-preparing to begin with. S'cubie vibes comin' your way! Let us know how it goes, as soon as you are able. Haven't read anything. JUst checking in. Home from hospital obviuosly but need to go back to bed. Went well. But, hey, it's surgery -- feel like hit by truck.

I need to yell and scream and rant. I just found out that the site I called and reserved in February for our handfasting isn't ours. There's another wedding booked there at 2pm and there is no where else in the park available for that time slot on that day when I called and found this out. I CALLED IN FEBRUARY, and no one else had the shelter for that day, so I reserved it for the whole day, but apparently even that was wrong because the director, (who I am fairy sure is the gentleman I spoke to in February) tells me that no one can reserve a site for longer that 4 hours. WTF. I have no clue what to tell Jason, or if I can even get ahold of all my guests before they come to let them know of a change in venue. Hell I know if worse comes to worse I can have it in Rich's back yard or Dad's back yard, but neither place is ideal for a variety of reasons, not for a guest list of 60. I have no clue how to solve this. OMG, how awful!! What about Kathy? She has a large place - if you offer to help with set up and clean up, maybe she'd be willing . . . Would the Park be willing to put up a sign, redirecting guests for the Jason & Angelique wedding to the new address? It seems like the least they could do for you. Did he seem apologetic and have any ideas for you, or was he disavowing any knowledge of your call, and acting like you were delusional? Do they allow weddings on the statehouse lawn? That's a pretty place. Uhm . . . hmmm. Wedding in someone's back yard, reception in the church basement? Ben & Jerry's!! Do they do any weddings there? That would be fun. So sorry to hear about this, but I'm sure you will work it out.
