Running water - my favorite! So beautiful and so hard to capture well on film. Excellent work, Sara. And thanks for the lovely birthday presents. I do so love a nice sprawl.

Been away from board a few days. Lola, I hope you had a great birthday.
For myself, I was dreadfully sick part of the weekend, but nevertheless in the course of the time I became a sister-in-law and had no less than three mumble*dates*mumble*!
None of these are going to go anywhere--there being ZERO chemistry--but it was nice to get out of the house.

And that was the wedding you couldn't attend? How did she take that? Glad you are feeling better. I mailed books last week, should arrive this week some time.

No, not every date has to go anywhere. One was clearly horny and while unattractive clearly had some technique on his side, one was deeply stupid (who meets a first date at Denny's and then allows her to pick up the check?) and one was very nice, very sweet and wants to see me again--but no sparkage on my part. Yes, this was the wedding I couldn't attend. Judging by the pictures I'm glad I didn't go. Looks like a nest of family politics in the background. The daughter couldn't go either. She has to raise $1,000 deposit to bring her two doggies to her new house. The Sister kinda understood--especially when bribed by the $350 cast iron teapot and set that I sent. Hey, everybody has their price.

Awake.
I wish more than ever that I had a social secretary and/or communications manager who could figure out what I need to do and say next.
Julia, no good at asking for help whatsoever.

Speaking of which, one of our phones is missing, ok now it's not...
Also, I know people have been having intermittant trouble accessing the S'cubie Board; how about LJ?
Julia, also must set up new Email addie and Facebook today, ugh.

I was able to get on LJ fine when I arrived at work, went through a stretch where the pages wouldn't load at all, and then was once again able to access the site a little while later.

Such is the way of the universe, infinitely annoying... Speaking of which, Himself lost the cap off his flashdrive on Sunday when he took it out of the plastic packaging, which he'd been using to store it, to put flashie into the nice new padded case I bought for it. Or so he thought... I asked if it might have got stuck in the case when he put it in. No, no, pooh-pooh, couldn't possibly, wouldn't even look, let alone allow anybody else. So several hours later, I asked Kitty if we could borrow the cap from one of her (four, but not all travelling) flashdrives until we found Paul's. He pulled flashie out of the case, and... the cap was right there on the flashdrive where it belonged. He'd looked at the other end and assumed the cap was missing. At least the search forced him to clean up some of his piles of papers, and hoards of pens, and stacks of books.

There is much extreme wetness here today. The parking lot is six inches deep in water, judging by the wetness of my pants. Water is beginning to cover the roads. Tornado watches, flood warning, tropical storm warnings (a little late there!) and stuff. I wish they'd send us home.

I don't but it's not a bad idea and it's nice when he has to hunt thru looking for something. Of course, until it's found the assumption is that I moved it or tossed it -- even tho that hypothesis is disproved 99% of the time.
