There is a new show premiering to night on FX: "Terriers" I mention it because it starts Donal Logue, from "Life" and I swear I saw Olivia Williams (Adele from Dollhouse) in the promo but she's not on the IMDB cast list so maybe she's just guest starring. I may have to check this out, because I love Donal Logue. Tim Minear is involved as well. Producer? Writer? Gaffer? Don't know. Speaking of Olivia Williams, has anyone else seen Roman Polanski's Ghostwriter? She had a major role in that and was freaking fantastic.

It's Wednesday, and it's been far too long since I posted one of these. Ergo:

I has a grouchy. and an appointment for a haircut. And hair that's just sticking out every which way being a mess, but I tell myself this is why the appointment, you don't have to worry about the hairdresser seeing your hair at its worst. Do we have an Oscar the Grouch smilie? Good luck on the haircut. My hair is good again. The buzzed bit is buzzed again and the long bit is back up to chin length and everything is proper black again. I don't as much mind the silver bits but I don't much like going brown again. But now I have good hair.

Yeah, I'm intrigued myself, have loved Donal Logue since... wow, The Tao of Steve at least... and it has the possibility of being a hoot. (Sorry I didn't comment on the Toronto thing, it all sounds so medical and I'm scattered on that whole realm right now). Julia, wishing Terriers started in, like, two weeks, because right now is not a great time for new stuff to hook my interest.

Just got off a long weekend, and yet I still can't wait for Friday to get here... I would eagerly take a couple of days between now and then, send them along; Franklin has yet to hit The Last Minute and there's a wide assortment of things he must do that are yet undone. Julia, argh to the argh argh arghth

I would eagerly take a couple of days between now and then, send them along; Franklin has yet to hit The Last Minute and there's a wide assortment of things he must do that are yet undone. Julia, argh to the argh argh arghth I have been busy slaying the usefuls, here, there and everywhere, including a stop at the florist to order flowers to be delivered to my mom on Saturday, which would've been my dad's 78th birthday. Personally, I'd just as soon skip the rest of the week, except that Saturday will, if I'm lucky and the curse doesn't strike again, be BOILD, probably in Montrose. Bestest Buddy will be visiting my mom on Sunday, that being her usual day, and she's bringing cupcakes, so that should help too. Of Ratbag, Useless, and my brother the Other Ratbag, we expect sod all, and will undoubtedly receive it. I have the feeling I'm going to be in a Very Bad Mood the rest of the week, and probably into next, since I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday, and will have to fast. I can't even have alcohol for 72 hours before, either, so no glass of wine Saturday night. I'll shut up and go away now.

When I post about my health I am mostly just taking advantage of you guys and this space to vent as a way to deal with my own anxieties without dumping on my family. [Not that I don't eventually tell them everything.] But sometimes I just need to verbalize stuff in order to make it emotionally real to myself and sort of "get it off my chest." Oddly, I rarely need a response, although of course it's nice to know I've been heard and y'all care -- but I don't expect everyone to respond every time.

Hmm. I like the other guy starring in it, too, from what I've seen of him. I still miss Rene from True Blood. I set my Tivo to record it, but I don't know if I'll end up watching the show. I really have no interest or time to watch any new shows this season. I cut out a few shows from my schedule last season and, instead of the universe falling apart from me not knowing what people were talking about anymore in regards to those shows, it felt invigorating and freeing to not feel obligated to watch shows that I had no interest in anymore.

this would be fun: penny-lane-42.livejournal.com/136741.htmlShe started a "Things I love about BtVS." In fact, I sort of want to start a dedicated thread from this idea so we can keep going back. Really, this has made me want to actually get out my DVDs and watch them from the beginning. Which is not a bad idea because Allison has moved home and is just finishing up all 6 seasons of LOST. I wonder if she would watch Buffy with me?

I'll start with one: "I'm a nummy treat." That scene with Xander and Spike cracks me up. Every time.
