OK, so we have to inspired by New York . . . haven't they been there, done that, a bunch of times? Alright, well - what in NYC should be our inspiration? Or how about Manhattan as a concept? Like a dress with tiny moving miniature cabs running up and down it. And a hat with tall buildings on top of it!!

Shall we be inspired by the Checker Cab? Oooh, a cab would be awesome! And the dress can have a light that she turns on or off to say that she's free to pick up fares or not!

I am having no luck finding usual bowery boy type images . . . if anyone finds something, post it. I'll work on the cab concept for now . . . keep posting ideas, though.

Am I shallow to be way bored with the soul-baring and sharing? Please, let's get on with the show! Rest assured. Their boringness in no way impinges on your shallowness.

Other landmark-y things we could take as inspiration . . .
an overflowing garbage dumpster a trashed/drunken deb, leaving a hipster club late at night a food cart CBGBs

What is our challenge? A look inspired by NYC! A landmark. Statue of Liberty long gown, with actual lit torches on her hat!! (Wait, Michael C took that.) Ooooh, or a Brooklyn Zoo animal print catsuit! Oh! Oh!! Oh!!! A Bowry bum outfit!!! With some bo-ho chic thrown in for fun! Bowry bum with checker cab touches?? Street person chic. Love it.

"I gave birth to a Chinese prostitute." Also, who knew Michael C could do such a rock-solid Michael Kors impression?

Emily is walking. For real. Just transited an entire room without falling down. Goddess help us. The parents' nightmare time: perfect mobility, no sense of danger. Julia, also, though, no sense of directions, and no ability to reach doorkobs, which helps for a bit.

OK - here's a start . . . what to do to "WOW" this . . ?? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!! I really like this. This is chic!! Seriously, I don't know if I want to add too much bizareness, because I actually think this looks rather stunning. Hmmmm. How about a tasteful purse. Like, maybe one of those bags they put over parking meters to say you can't use them, only turned upside down and made into a bag?
