Hi All,
I have lurked for a bit and am just coming into the boards now as a fully fledged user. I got my box set of BtVS for my birthday and I am in love with all things Buffy again, after suffering heartbreak when it went off the air (in grand style, mind you) in 2003.
I am a great admirer of Spring's reviews, but that isn't the word to do justice, Reviews, I mean. These are mini-books. Treatises, essays, short stories, poetry. I love them. I would like to write like that. I realize it's hard to and Spring has said, she has trouble getting to them.
I would like to ask, humbly, has anyone else ever tried to write a review? Submit a writing example? Tried it on? Been rejected? I am a writer, I love to write, I write well. I can spell, use grammar and a keyboard. I even have a few ideas. I'm also mad crazy in love with Spike (my husband knows and has blessed our union). I have his pic above my writing desk (Spike's I mean).
Well, you know why I'm here, now. I love Spring's reviews and I love your comments. I think they are the things that make it worth dropping the housework and running to, every day.
Thanks for listening,
Penelope Archer

We have had other people submit essays of different types . . . I would suggest checking out the Essays section, here: www.soulfulspike.com/assayed.htmYou'll see that various S3 members have submitted essays on all sorts of topics over the years . . . if you have something you would like to write, give it a try. I can help you get it reviewed and uploaded to our site. If you like to write fan-fic, we also have some of that, here: www.soulfulspike.com/fanfictional/bookcase.htmAgain, thanks for commenting on my reviews. I am hoping to get back to them, but life has interfered in some major ways. If you have any specific comments on particular reviews, we have a thread for that, here: scubiefan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=analysesWould love to hear any input/feedback you may have. Welcome to the S3, Penelope!!

Welcome, Penelope! Reviews, analysis, essays - these are all wonderful things! I say, take a shot at it! Take a look at what different people have written before (excellent idea, Spring) to see if it sparks anything in you! Again, welcome!

Hi, Penelope.
I did Veronica Mars reviews briefly. (See website). And since my background is math writing, even every other week, was quite a stretch for me.
What are you interested in reviewing? Buffy eps? You can write "formal" reviews or you can post less formally on the episode threads. But then come by the Main Thread and be sure to tell everyone.

Thank you all! I would like to begin with Flooded - I am seriously into season 6 right now and the ideas are pouring in (pun intended).

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome, Penny!
I've done some reviews and analyses too, among them a review of Angel's finale. I also wrote some of the poetry you find scatter around this and the S3 website. So glad you're here. You will serve as a reminder of our beginnings and how we got where we are.
I can't wait to see what you produce for us.
Again, welcome to our midst. Please do come and stop by the main board where RL is the main focus but also a great place to form long-lasting friendships.
