I love the Christmas dolly! Here is mine. My goal was to make Dolly as warm as possible: Way to stay in practice for Project Runway! I like your idea to keep pennies from Vince-angel in his psychodelic camping bucket. And bonus artwork! Awesome! S'cubies!

How many of these guys are in love with you? I am gonna guess the guy in the middle with the blue jacket has the hots for you. LOL! That's my big boss from corporate. Of course everyone is in love with me. If they know what's good for them. Thanks, I needed that laugh! Been kind of down in the dumps the last few days. The holiday blues, maybe? The being away from everyone I know blues, maybe? The I have no social life blues, maybe? Sigh.

Here is a Dolly more worried about fashion than warmth:

"saga" continued: He must have been up at 4 am to check on roads. Chicago is okay but Northern Indiana is a mess. Managed to book another flight and headed to the airport by 6 am. Apparently he is in the air, arriving in Nashville at 9:25. It's a complete mess here. I have a court hearing tomorrow morning in the thumb area (about and hour and a half from my house) and the court isn't open today due to road conditions. I have no way to find out if the hearing is going tomorrow and may end up leaving my house at 5:00 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. hearing. Stupid winter. Getting to work was actually pretty easy this morning (well, other than clambering over a 3 foot mound to get to the bus door), but getting home? Man! I'd forgotten how much more tiring it was, and how much more time it takes, to walk the 2 miles home when there's so much unevenness underfoot and so on! Here's hoping that your day goes well tomorrow - either no court w/good lead time telling you that, or as easy a time as possible to get there!

I've seen quite a few of these. I wish they offered a different kind of art. The anime look is popular, but other things would be interesting too. It'd be fun to be able to choose from a variety of styles as well as actual pieces of clothing.

Well, give yourself some time to settle in, then get involved in something that is interesting to you. Maybe something artistic, or volunteer work. I can't remember if you belong to a church, but if you do, that's a place to start. If you don't, there's always the Unitarian "you don't have to believe in anything in particular to go here" church. You are a lot of fun; before you know it, you'll have a few friends, and can maybe have a small dinner party . . . and you're off!

Hmmm - quite the tales of winter woe! I am off Mon, Tues, Wed this week, with Children's Services coming over on Wed afternoon to start my "home interviews" in earnest. We have to have "at least three." And we will be delving deeply into "every aspect of my life." She said, "Yes, we'll know each other pretty well when this is over." Hmmm. I hope that means I get to ask her about her biggest fears and such. MAN!! I have nothing to hide, but I am just not that comfy talking over "all aspects of my life" with a stranger. The things we do for love. Nothing to hide? Suuuuuuuuure. Seriously, wishing you all the best!

You know, I think I like the new chief on The Closer. He's very different from all of them, but in a way that works well with them. And the way he handled Provenza? Awesome!

Some good news, finally - we got an email from Fullerton College that there's an opening in the Poli Sci class for which Kitty was waitlisted. Fortunately, she hadn't gone to sleep, so I hauled her out of bed and away from her book, and she's registered. That's three out of four. She's still waitlisted for English, but if three is all she can get, we can live with it.
I suggested she contact her Japanese teacher, and let the teacher know she'd be interested if the college decided to add another Japanese 2 class. Never hurts to ask.
