Well, that doesn't sound good.

base under seige with doppelgangers. I kept waiting for it to get good but it is the first of a two parter. And here in the colonies, we have to wait two weeks for the second part. I was kind of meh about this one. Also, was there anybody who couldn't predict that when the Doctor put his hand on the tank of glup, a Doctorganger would be sure to follow? I mean, talk about telegraphing a plot point. And the doppelgangers reminded me of whatsisname the changeling in DS9. Not their fault, but it was a bit distracting. Rory was sweet and caring, though.

Which raises the question: surely the Doctor knew he was going to create another himself -- no? Does he think he needs 2 of him to counter the current threat? Does he want the company? Is this the skin process that leads to that stretched out skin lady/face in the Tennant series? (She always needed to be sprayed so she wouldn't dry out and crack.) Surely, surely it's not so obvious as to be: now there are 2 doctors so one can be killed with "no loss" (so to speak).

Two things in the first five minutes that pleased me:
DC Chris Skelton! (Which makes sense, since Matthew Graham wrote the episode, as was a co-creator of Life on Mars.)
Muse! (Which I would argue could serve as an official DW soundtrack. Plus, Supermassive Black Hole is one of my faves, so, win!)
More later; that's all I've got so far.
