This episode was so super duper awesome I'm going to have to watch it again.
I love the part where Rory and Amy are spouting about how they aren't together and Amy says that while he's adorable and all he's gay. Rory looks at her and then says "no I'm not!". After a few minutes of arguing the point you see the light go on in Amy's head.
Overall it was a very solid episode.

If the trailers are any indication then no, we have most definitely NOT seen the last of River Song.

Actually, though, this was a version of River Song whose life was "forward" relative to ours (that is, she lived simultaneously with Amy and Rory), so she probably doesn't "count" in terms of the countdown to the "first time".

Oh, hey, another thing...they just bought themselves, by my count, ten more Doctors, if they can work around the "dying in April of 2011" thing. 'Cause you COULD canonize this as "River gave all ten of her remaining regenerations to the Doctor."
Clever.

Assuming it was the real doctor that got killed and not a copy.

No, I'm talking about the trailers that were put out for this current leg of the season. There was an image of River Song with that same eye patch that one general* had. Since I haven't seen her with that yet, I'm assuming we're going to get more River Song. *The one that took Melody away from Amy.

First? This has some awesome fun lines! "Does anybody else find this day just a bit difficult? I'm getting this sort of banging in my head." "I think that's just Hitler in the cupboard." HA! Also? Very Douglas Adams, that is. "Oh-kaaaay. I'm trapped inside a giant robot replica of my wife. Really trying not to see this as a metaphor." "At least I'm not a time-traveling shape-shifting robot operated by miniaturized cross people. Which I have got to admit, I did not see coming." Second. I love the slam-bang-action vibe with all the twists and double-turns - especially the bit in Hitler's office all the loaded and unloaded guns and who outfoxed who and so on. Third. Doctor all witty and snarky and in a tux with a sonic cane? AWESOME!

Might have been a bit traumatic for him. Hmmm...
