I liked it. There was a certain "been there done that", but I guess if you're messing with time that's kind of hard to avoid. Rory was a Big Damn Hero again , and I was very pleased that River was an active part of the solution, and that all four of them were part of the solution. I think I'll need to watch this one over again, tomorrow maybe after it's had time to sink in. Last season set the bar pretty high for finales, and I don't think this one quite measured up to that standard, but it was certainly a lot better than I had feared, and on the whole, I'm okay with it. Sorry, tired, not coherent, if I think of anything later, I'll come back and add it. Afterthought: How do we know that was a real Gallifreyan marriage ritual? The whole thing may not even have been legal. The Doctor certainly didn't seem happy, more giving in to the inevitable and doing what he felt was necessary to save time and space and all that. In any case, he was manipulating a mentally unstable woman to get what he wanted/needed done, and that makes me uncomfortable. I liked last season's finale better, and this season hasn't worked as well for me. Not giving up on the show, just saying that it could have been better.

I don't know, he didn't seem *that* unhappy to get married. I'm not sure if there was a different way for it to play out that didn't involved destroying a innocent person (aka Riversong).
I'm going to miss Rory. My favorite scene this season is hands down the Let's Kill Hitler episode when Amy finally figures out that Rory is not gay and really likes her.
