Hey, here I am using Franklin's computer, which is pretty much torture; I finally broke down and got the HUGE GREASY THUMBPRINTS off the screen and cleaned the sticky spot from the desk to the left of the keyboard, but the keyboard itself is... man, can you get, like, gas gangrene from a keyboard?
Also it's got the horrible wiggly red line of doom for misspellings, and since I usually use a miniature keyboard my typos make the screen look as if it was bleeding.
Sam just left: he was alone in E'burg on his two days in a row off (another advantage of his promotion) and so he drove over and Franklin took a day off and we went to Seattle and got to the EuropeanGreat Masters exhibit, whooo-ee!
Better than a long trip: got my chores done, had company, and got to do something I haven't done for over a decade.
Julia, off to look at the admin section, yay.

Anyone else feel weird to have it be Thursday and not be watching Project Runway? It's been running back-to-back continuously for so long. ;D

Headed back east on Friday for graduation. I'm currently in Corbin, KY. Am going to move onto the DCOM area tomorrow. I really did not miss all the humidity. How exciting! Congrats!

I've been going crazy with my new 'puter. The worst was trying to access my 346 favorites all saved on aol. The new machine refused to recognize them and I need access to them. Window 9.screamingbastard is no friend of the window user. Hello Geeksquad. I whined about not being able to find anything and he could not find anything to fix. Well, of course not. Nothing's really broken. It's just that Explorer won't let AOL run the show, it just uses AOL's homepage. Finally, after I whimpered about "why things couldn't look the same as they used to" and inspired in the Geeksquader the simplest and most elegant of solutions: Download AOL. Presto, no more interference from Explorer, everything is where it belongs and all my favorites are right where I can find them. Happy Diane. No sewing done today but Diane happy anyhow. Diane happier to the tune of 1 working computer, a new juicer, some nice tipproof coffee mugs and 11 new shirts. Bob, in his infinite wisdom knows when I need some shopping therapy.

Shadow is Not a Happy Cat. I'm going to rework the little banner for my bat collection. I got more linen mini-pennant pieces, I have enough of the right chipboard letters and plenty of black and silver paint, black glitter and star dust glitter glue to do it the way I want this time. I may even get started tomorrow, if nothing else intervenes.

and to all. Please apply as appropriate. Sorry I've not been around much; lots of writing this week, and job rejections coming fast and furious. *sigh* I'm starting to think it might be time to stop tilting at this particular windmill. Either I'm too awesome or not awesome enough...either way, neither pays the bills.

We were under flood watches and warnings most of the day. It's passed now and the sun's out--but the courtyard looks like a lake. What is a bat collection?

Any company should thank their lucky stars just to be considered by you. What is it that you really want to do?
