(OK, I'm recycling. And a bit crabby about the state of the world.) Welcome to Part 1149 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread.
You know, sometimes Thursdays are even worse than Mondays. I mean, you've already lived through Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday...and then Thursday comes along and reminds you it's still not the weekend. Luckily for us, our generally smutty behavior in Erinland can take the sting out of the day. And if that doesn't work? EXTERMINATE!
You know what really gets us going? I mean, enough to stick the plunger of death in your face? Spoilers in this thread! They belong in the Spoiled Souls thread; if you want to talk about casting spoilers, the little ghosty button above is for you and if you want to talk about a show that just aired, please mark in BIG LETTERS.
Got a burning desire to ELUCIDATE? PONTIFICATE? Check out our Open Topics Thread. Just remember, there's no place there to FLAGELLATE yourselves or others, 'kay?
How about discussing some of your favorite TV shows? Whether you want to discuss the Oncoming Storm or CELEBRATE Misha Collin's angelic...performance, the I Love, Love, LOVE TV thread for some awesome TV talk, as well as show threads for Torchwood, Doctor Who, Dollhouse, and our ongoing Buffy/Angel 'fest.
And before your bad day makes you want to ELIMINATE every other human, check out our website! We've got fanfic, pretty pictures, and reviews. Who knows? You might change your mind after that.
So, whether you want to chill or plot world destruction, we're here to MOTIVATE. Enjoy, S'cubies!

Nothing wrong with reviving a classic, Erin. I'm beyond crabby and well into full dejection, so stay crabby. Besides, the world would be a much better place if it was ruled by Erinificus. Because it was right at the end of the last part, and because it's so rare lately for me to complete anything, I'm going to post about my latest little artsy project again: I finished my tiger shadowbox, and here it is.

Crabby is us. I love winter, I love snow. But still. I is a bit cranky.
On the other hand, it's Project Runway night! Finale part 1, which probably means no challenge (sadface) but Tim home visits too (yay! \o/ )

I love when Tim visits the families - we get a fuller picture of each person, a deeper background. Plus? Tim! I mean, how can you not love the way he is so supportive and caring while telling them the good and the bad about what they're doing?

Tomorrow is "bring ethnic food to school day" at the younger girl's elementary school and she and I have been cooking Italian goodies all evening! Sorry I have not been around. I wish I could share more about what is going on with the girls but I can't right now. It's been challenging and time-consuming! Hope I can be back here next Thurs.

Runway timez ....
Stanley - Very elegant, classic, beautiful, perhaps a bit too classic - it it cutting edge enough? He is right that the fit/shape on the middle dress is not the best. Love the final dress w/jacket. Love!
Patricia - Love the print in the skirt, but the drape around the neck is not my fave and dthe dress shape is slightly off. Love love love the pants w/horsehair cape. That kills! I do like this dress in movement on a model, it was not as impressive on the hanger. The hat thing is awesome!
Daniel - Hmmmm. It's cool but also a bit too retro. Sweater and pants ... I like the sweater better than the pants. Gown is pretty, but not loving the back.
Michelle - Love the sweater and the jeans w/chaps. Not loving the blouse underneath. Dress w/skirt and breastplate is very cool, if a bit thick. Then the killer coat. LOVE THAT COAT AND THE BAGS - LOVE IT!
Now to post before the judges have their say!

So what's the judging say ..... ? So, Michelle and Patricia and Stanley are in, and Daniel is out. I'd say that's the right choice to toss.

Hey, y'all, I've had a strangely weird day: new calf, every hen laid an egg, rotten nasty encounter in Home Depot which left me with an ear that rings and feels as if it had a knitting needle shoved in, and working outside so long that I had to chose between PR and TRMS.
Sorry, Tim, but, well: this week, I find Rachel more comforting.
Julia, because things suck, my gawd do they suck, and I want to go to West to make sure the Village Bakery is making Kolaches...

BTW, oh great and powerful Technopagans, I've got ads on the top of my screen. Don't we pay for them not to be there?
Okay, I know I have a new computer. I know that the Technopagans are very responsive, but the moment I posted the above, the ad went away and there is blessed blankness in its place.
I'm freaked.

I also failed to mention that I like seeing the Dalek opener visit us again. If you have to recycle, I say recycle the best!

I was under the impression that the only way to avoid them was to install (on your own computer) anti-ad software. I am also seeing this notice at the top: Important Notice Between April 29th and May 29th this forum will be upgraded, bringing new features and functionality.
