Got MY hand up there....you shoulda seen me/heard me right after the first viewing...bitchy, quarrelsome, and unhappy. I've rewatched the episode and I liked it much more the second time. I think in time, when all of this is over, I will even grow to love it. The timing of it just seemed so....wrong...somehow. Thanks for a wonderful review, Patti.

Patti: Loved the review. Loved your take on it. I felt so much the same way, but didn't realize until you said it how much it had to do with Buffy being gone. And you said it so well. I liked the replay on the Yoko Factor conversation, and the effective and affecting way you reminded us of it again at the end. Because I don't like him, either. Major kudos, ragazza.

This is such a great job, Patti. You picked up on it perfectly: this was the final goodbye to Buffy before Angel wrapped everything up in his own universe.
One last, fond look back at the events that affected all of us so much.
The jackets. Those were the key. Angel said his coat "wasn't him." Spike's jacket was "a second skin. A part of me."
All of us are resisting the end of the Jossverse in the same way. These shows are a part of us...and they're about to be gone forever.
Thanks for sharing these observations. They're brilliant, and right on the mark.

Thankf for the great review. I liked the ep, but I'm in major denial.
I can't remember if you talked about Spike and Angel sitted at their desk at the end, the way we are sitting in front of the tv. then they slip farther away from us.... I think you said that- so sad but so true.
DARNIT-I STILL WON'T BELEIVE IT'S ENDING!

Great review and comments by all. I love hearing everyone's opinions, even when they differ, around here it's all good.
I'm really seeing the dissatisfaction people have with this episode being directly related to timing and KNOWING it's ENDING so soon. I think if we had no idea it was ending a lot of folks wouldn't have been so bothered by this ep.
